Matthew's P.O.V
I wake up and look at the clock which says 7:58 am. Lillian is still asleep so I get out of bed as careful as I can. I finish up my packing and go downstairs for some breakfast.
Lillian's P.O.V
I wake up and Matt's not there. I panic for a moment thinking that he might've left for California already, but then I see his suitcases on the floor. But wait a minute, I wouldn't care if he left. He's leaving me anyway and that's all there is to it.
I turn around in Matt's bed so my back is facing the door. I hear someone coming up the stairs and for once in my life I'm hoping it's my dad. I hear the person come into Matt's room, take some suitcases and leave.
About 4 minutes later, Matt yells, "Lillian!" from the bottom of the stairs. I pretend I didn't hear him and don't respond. I hear him run up the stairs and into the doorway. I pretend to be asleep.
"C'mon Lil I know you're awake." he says a little annoyed. "I'm leaving, Lilly. Can I at least get a hug?" I don't budge from my position. I think I hear him exit the room.
He wouldn't. Would he? He wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to me. Granted I was ignoring him but I though he'd try more than once. I turn around and Matt, along with all of his suitcases, were gone.
I race downstairs and look out the front window only to see Matthew driving away. He's really gone. He left and didn't say goodbye. Guess that shows how much he really cares about me.
