"Look, it really is Tsukuyomi! He has returned!" You heard a male voice say. Just then, two balls of light came out of the shrine and encircled you. If you hadn't already experienced the supernatural, you would be freaking out right now. "Welcome back!" A different male voice said. "We're so glad you have returned, God of the Moon!" You froze when he said that. "They think I'm him," you thought to yourself. They ushered you inside and so you went in. Once inside, they revealed what they looked like.

They both were rambling about your 'return' when you heard a sound down the dark hallway. "Ah, Master Shinjiro has returned!" The lilac-haired one said with glee. "Tsukuyomi..." A man growled and you could see glowing red eyes nearing towards you. Your eyes shot open in fear, wondering if you were going to walk away from this shrine alive. The man was suddenly upon you and he had a pissed off look. "Master, you're going to-" He paused to fully look at you. "Who the hell are you?" He asked and you were too shocked to answer.

He leaned down and looked at you, causing your heart rate to increase. He was very attractive! "You're not Tsukuyomi." He bluntly said as he stood tall with a frown plastered on his face. "Master Shinjiro, surely it is him. See, the mark of the Moon God is on him." The extroverted one spoke as he pulled down your neckline, revealing a glowing spot right in the middle of your chest. "That does not change the fact that he's still not him," Shinjiro said as he brought out a fan. "Tsukuyomi was foolish, I can't believe he'd give his position to a lowly human."

I frowned at the insult. "Well, I didn't exactly ask for this, so stop insulting me," you said sternly as you stared into the man's red eyes with your own (e/c) ones. He was surprised by your quick tongue since humans usually fear him. "Who are you exactly, human?" Shinjiro asked and you stood up. "My name's (m/n), and I'm the child of Tsukuyomi and Mayumi (l/n)." Shinjiro's eyes widened in shock. He studied your face and saw that you did resemble Tsukuyomi. You had his beautiful hair, his smooth skin, and his sharp eyes.

However, he also noticed the dark circles underneath them. He looked away from your face and it was quiet. "I never knew that Tsukuyomi had a child with his human lover." The lavender-haired one said as he leaned in to look at your face. "Is that where he's been this whole time? With his woman and you?" Lilac asked and you shook your head. "No, I've never met him," you responded and the two frowned. "But you have the mark of the Moon God now, (m/n)," Lavender said as he gestured towards your chest.

"That means you're the Moon God now!" Lilac finished and the two hugged each other. They started throwing rice in celebration and presenting you with delicious dishes. "W-wait?" You said in confusion. "But I haven't even met my father--" You stopped talking when you registered how this all happened. Polaris had kissed your cheek...could he have transferred the mark to you? "Polaris..." You whispered, catching the attention of Shinjiro. "You've encountered Polaris?" He asked and you nodded.

"That man...he must've had him deliver unto this human the mark of a God," Shinjiro spoke mostly to himself. "This is certainly a change of events," Lavender started. "But we finally have a God to serve!" Lilac finished with a grin. "I refuse to serve a lowly human filled with flaws!" Shinjiro raised his voice. Lavender slipped in and said, "He's technically a demihuman, Master Shinjiro." Shinjiro growled in annoyance. "Listen, I came here to find answers, but instead, I've met a jerk who has done nothing but insult me!" You yelled earning a glare from Shinjiro.

"If we answer your questions," Lilac started. "Then maybe you can answer some of our questions?" Lavender finished. You looked at the two and nodded. Shinjiro took a seat and eyed you. "When did Tsukuyomi start seeing my mom?" You asked and Shinjiro straightened his posture. "We do not know when he first met her, nor how long they saw each other before your birth," Shinjiro answered. "Lord Tsukuyomi was diligent in keeping this private from us," Lavender said and Lilac nodded.

Shinjiro looked hurt by that statement, but it was only for a split second. "How long has he been gone?" You asked. "Almost 19 years," Shinjiro answered, his anger at that fact was evident on his features. "That's two questions, our turn," Shinjiro spoke. "How old are you?" Lilac asked. "I'm 17 years old." You responded. "When did you discover Tsukuyomi was your father?" Lavender asked. "I found out a week ago," you answered. "Do you know what happened to Tsukuyomi?" Shinjiro asked, leaning in. You turned to look at him and nodded.

"My mother told me that he was punished for falling in love with a human. She said that he was somewhere we can't tread," You remembered. "He must be alive if he sent Polaris to you!" Lilac said with hope. "Why was Tsukuyomi punished so severely?" You asked and Lavender stepped up to the plate. But Shinjiro beat him to it. "Because he had a child with a human mortal that wasn't blessed or needed from the other Gods," Shinjiro stated. You looked into his eyes, and he saw the hurt in yours. "How is that my fault!" You demanded as you got into his face.

"Because his foolish actions have brought you here to replace him!" He shot back. You ripped your eyes away from him, needing to calm down. "Master Shinjiro!" The shrine spirits scolded him. He looked away, knowing what he said was cruel. He stood up and started to walk away. "Master Shinjiro! You mustn't leave Lord (m/n)!" Lilac cried. "Master Shinjiro, please don't leave!" Lavender pleaded, but Shinjiro was gone. "Where is he going?" You asked and Red frowned. "Hopefully just to the mountain." He answered.

You turned to look at the two, "What are your guy's names anyway?"

"I'm Itsuki!" The lilac-haired boy said.

"And I'm Yukito!" The lavender-haired boy said.

They then banded together. "And we're the shrine spirits of the Tsukuyomi Shrine!" They introduced themselves. "Come, Lord (m/n), you must be tired from your long journey," Itsuki said as he grabbed your hand. You let him pull you along, your mind still on Shinjiro. They both showed you a room and said that it would be yours. Itsuki and Yukito both bowed before they disappeared. You walked in and closed the sliding door behind you. There was a bed on the floor. You put your bag down and sat down to take your shoes off and later your jacket.

Everything that has happened was racing through your mind. You looked up to see the moon looking down on you through the window. You got up to stand at the window. "Tsukuyomi... dad. What do you want to accomplish bringing me here, making me the Moon God?" You asked, hoping that he would reach out to you. But you received nothing. You sighed in defeat and decided to sleep, knowing that you needed it. You got under the covers and fell into a deep slumber. Unbeknownst to you, Shinjiro was right outside your door.

He growled in frustration and quietly stormed away.
