to Be Kidnapped (Chapter 31)

"Get off or the girly gets it!" Both of them look down to see Madison holding a knife to Ava's throat.

Katso hides his face from Quill and shoots Madison a glare. Quill shoots her own death glare, her fist tightening.

"What're ya gonna do hero?" Madison mocks, digging the knife into Ava's neck and red blood oozes out.

"Stop it! You're hurting her!" Quill screams.

"Then get off," Madison smirks, knowing she had secured their hostages. For the fun of it, Madison starts continuing to slice.

"Fuck you Madison," Quill jumps off.

"Your brother already did!" Madison calls out just to annoy her. Anger and hatred boil inside Quill as she lands gracefully onto the ground.

"What's your status?" Quill hears a voice in her ear. Watching them float away, Quill presses the communication device in her ear.

"General Katso and Madison have the Elemental Masters," Quill answers, her fist tight. She turns into a porcupine, pulling out her hero outfit and slipping it on while running across the ground to follow Katso.

"Quill stop, don't follow them," Amy's voice comes into her ear.

"But I can't let them get away!" Quill cries out. "It's my fault! I can't let them get away!" She continues to run faster, her shorter legs not much help but it's all she's got.

The red bubble looks slightly bigger to Quill as it disappears out of her sight. "No!" Quill turns back into a mage and continues to run.

"You have your quills placed in the bubble! We can track it!" Amy's voice is heard again.

Quill puts her finger on her ear and presses the communicator again to talk. "You can't Amy. I didn't put the tracking devices into my system so those quills probably don't have it because Scott just finished it today," Quill sighs.

"And if you just took it today..." Amy starts.

"It's not going to extend to my quills yet," Quill finishes for her. "So everything I did was just fucking useless."

"Hey, it isn't," Amy argues. "At least we know which direction they're headed and we know for sure who he's working with."

"But Ava..." Quill stomps her foot.

"Will be okay. When did a little cut on the neck hurt?" Amy questions.

"I'm also worried about where Katso got the blood from to use for his magic," Quill brings up.

"Most likely from himself or Madison or even his victims," Ku's voice is what Quill hears now. "You did good Quill, you did your best."

"But it wasn't good enough," Quill mummers under her breath, her fist tightening. They were counting on me...relying on me...mom and dad never would've let this happen...Quill think glumly.

"Now we have a hostage situation on our hands. We can not make any hasty moves," Ku tells his family in front of him.

"What are we going to do?" Scott asks, cleaning his glasses then placing them back onto his nose.

"Locate General Katso and Madison. We have no other option," Ku turns in his heel. "Scott, you should help with your skills."

With a nod, Scott goes in another direction to help with the tracking and search. Quill looks annoyed with herself as she continuously grows quills from her body, then they go back.

"Hey, it's not your fault they got captured," Red places his hand in her shoulder. "Madison is just a dirty mage. Katso himself would never have done that and you held your own against him!"
