"Where are the kids?" Laurel said, looking among the students getting off the bus.
"I don't know. They're usually first off." Tamani replied.
When all of the kids are off the bus, Laurel's heart drops. So this is what Marion has in mind. Kidnap our kids. She is sick...
The bus drives off and Chelsea and Laurel look at each other with concern in their eyes.
"I'm going to call the school office." Rose says.
"Good thinking." Jason replies.
Just as Rose gets her phone out to dial, David's ringtone goes off.
"Call from Blocked Number. Call from Blocked Number." The phone says.
David picked up, " Hello?"
"Hello. David, right?"
"Yes..." David replied.
"Yeah. I thought as much. It was in your kid's records.... Now. Come to 8192 Canopy Way. Type in the code 080712 on the way in. You come alone. Or all of your kids will die... You got it?"
David's face reddens with anger. "Marion... I swear to god. Give me the kids, or I swear to god, I will kill you-"
Marion laughs a deep, cold, menacing laugh. "I thought as much. That's why you'll come. Alone. Tonight at 12:00. You come, the kids live and they can go home. You don't come, or you don't show up alone, all the kids die... Think about it."
She ends the phone call and David's face goes blank. "What is it?" Rose asks.
"I need to go somewhere tonight. I'm gunna go to the bar."
Rose shoots him a strange look and dials 9-1-1.
"Yes! Hello. I need to report missing children-"
"How long have they been missing?" She asks.
"About an hour, now."
"If they're still missing tomorrow, we can file something, but until then, they're not officially missing."
"But-" Rose says.
"I can't do anything. I'm sorry." The officer says before she hangs up.
"No luck..." Rose says.
