Laurel and Tamani swung the door open, making it creak on its hinges. Laurel almost lost her nerve at the unsettling sound. Tamani placed a comforting hand on her back. They walked in, step by step, ever so alert to detect even the slightest sound of movement. They walked through 8192, and no one was in sight so far. Tamani looked down at the floor. Blood, splattered all over the floor, had found it's way out to the main hall. Tamani followed the splatter marksas they became more dense in volume.
"Laurel. You may not want to see this," Tamani called out to her. "I found...him..."
Laurel stayed behind, in the front entrance, not wanting to see the gory mess, but Tamani continued, needing to find out any clues that may have been left behind.
A tear slipped from Laurel's eyes and landed on the floor. Drop after drop turned the floor into a mini puddle. Tamani looked back and gave her a forlorn look. He then entered the room, to see David on the floor, with two bullet wounds. One to the head and one to the chest. Blood was in pools all around him, and David's face was drained of all color. Tamani surveyed the situation, looking for anything that would give him a hint of what might have happened.
Tamani was about to leave, not wanting to bear the sight at looking at his dead friend any longer, when he found something. It was a stained piece of paper, with black scrawl all over it....
Tamani walked across the room, his bare feet being soaked in David's blood, to the paper. He picked it up, read it, stuffed it in his shirt, and ran to Laurel.
I decided not to be lazy during this chapter and write better... Should I write like this more often? PS: It would take a little longer to update if I did
Anyways...
This was a depressing chapter.
It will get better, I promise. I realized that in the last 20ish chapter I haven't had much Lamani fluff. I'll add more in the next chapters...
I had 5 hours of commuinty service today so I'm exhausted and it's only 6:00 lol
I think I'll write more of Entwined or my Divergent fanfics...
I have no life lol
