Chapter 5

Urie and I walked inside the CCG building.

Urie was wearing his headphones on while listening to music.

Suddenly, someone called him.

"Urie!"

We both turned our heads towards the owner of the voice.

Urie took off his headphones.

"Kuroiwa," Urie greeted plainly.

Right before us stood one of Hirako's underlings, Kuroiwa Takeomi.

He's a Rank 2 Investigator and was Urie and I's classmate. He was also a part of the honors curriculum.

He looked towards me and smiled.

"Hello L/N-san," he greeted.

I nodded.

"Nice to see you, Kuroiwa-san," I answered.

Kuroiwa then looked at the both of us.

"Is Rank 1 Investigator Sasaki alright?" he asked in a concerned tone.

"Our squad mentor isn't that weak," Urie replied.

"I see, that's good then," Kuroiwa said, "Please contact me when I can visit."

"Will do," I said with a smile.

"Well then, see you later," Kuroiwa said.

"Yeah," Urie said, "Don't force yourself."

Kuroiwa then left.

Urie and I continued our walk.

I decided to try and break the ice a little.

"Hey Urie," I said.

Urie then turned his head towards me.

"What kind of music are you listening to?" I asked.

"(favourite artist)," Urie said plainly.

My eyes sparkled.

"You listen to them too?" I asked as a smile formed on my face.

Urie nodded.

"What's your favourite song from them?" I asked again.

"I like a lot of their music, but I'd have to pick F/S," Urie answered.

My smile widened.

"Mine too!" I exclaimed happily.

That moment, I swear I saw Urie smiling a bit.

We finally arrived at our destination.

I knocked on the door.

Not long after, a man opened the door.

"Ah, L/N and Urie," the man greeted.

I smiled.

"Hello Dr. Shiba!" I said.

The man in front of us is Dr. Shiba Ryoji. He is the one who takes care of the Quinx.

He's quite tall and wears glasses.

Dr. Shiba turned his gaze towards Urie.

"You can come in," Dr. Shiba said while widening the door.

"I'll wait for you here," I said to Urie.

Urie nodded before walking in.

Dr. Shiba then closed the door.

I awkwardly stood next to the door.
