Day one of having the boiler and the rest of the stuff replaced. The heat, water and electricity was off for most of the day. Needed to get out of the house so spent most of the day wandering around the housing estate eating takeout. I mean not really a bad way to spend time even though it's a little pathetic. Despite being November I swear it was warmer outside than in the house at the moment. The electric is back (duh), we've got cold water currently and hopefully the work will be done tomorrow.

Well having to sleep in -2C weather without heating last night did a particularly effective job of ending any ambitions I once had to live in the wild.
Later: Well the new boiler has been put in and we now have hot water again but there is something wrong either with the new boiler or the plumbing because we still don't have heating. Getting real tired of this saga.
Another update: The guy that installed the new boiler lent us a couple of mini heaters that use the electric which was really nice of him. Someone else is coming to take a look at it tomorrow and with any luck this'll be the end of it. Also the new boiler is making a loud droning noise.

The boiler saga continues. It's still not working and they need a different person to come and look at it now. They did manage to fix what was causing the boiler to make that noise though so that's something I guess.
Update: Ok just found out that pretty much all the furniture is going to have to be moved including one of my altars and they'll probably gonna have to pull up floorboards?! Ugh...
Tiny bit of good news but there was a Christmas market on today and I ended up winning loads of chocolate on the raffle which I really needed at the moment!
