My copy of Absolute Evil turned up today even though it wasn't supposed to turn up until the 27th so I'm taking that as a good sign. Replacement copy of The Hiketeia is supposed to turn up on the 27th and hopefully in English this time lol.
Apparently the new boiler has a leak somewhere. I complained about how this week really hadn't gone as planned but mum said it was actually a good thing it was discovered today because next week the fireplace is being boarded up and we wouldn't have known about it until it had gotten really bad. Feel like there is another annoying life lesson to be learnt there.
Side note the Absolute DC series is really good!

Fixing the boiler took about 2 minutes. Literally all that needed doing this time was a valve needed to be tightened.
Ok something kinda weird did happen today. I was scrolling through a horror writing website and I found a story that is set in the area I live in and I'm pretty sure I know the exact location that the story was written about. There is this old stretch of woodland that feels pretty out of place with the rest of the location and there is a small village right next to it which matches the description in the story. I kinda want to go there following the rules of the story and see if anything happens.

My English copy of the Hiketeia showed up today and I'm really liking this trend of stuff showing up a week early. There was also a Christmas market on today and I was quite surprised by the variety of stuff. At least a third was honestly similar to the kind of merch you usually find at comic con and there was even a couple of tables selling witchcraft supplies. I'm glad that it was the kind of market where I could actually see myself buying presents rather than the kind of Christmas market where absolutely everything is Christmas themed so you can only really use the stuff for one month a year.
Also found a stranger things notebook for 50p and inspired by my previous post I'm tempted to use it to start documenting my investigations into folklore and ghost stories in my local area.

Read comic. Apparently the new edition had a bunch of art prints that my original copy didn't have so I might have actually came out ahead on that front. Been doing the Christmas shopping because leaving everything to the last minute has kind of become part of the fun at this point.
So apparently the notebook had a bunch of messages to the new reader or something?? I suppose considering the show the notebook is from it would make sense that whoever owns it would be interested in some weird mystery thing. I'll take a closer look later. Still brings the total of weird events this week up to two. I guess I'm getting back to my 2019 investigating mysteries era.
