Bucky woke up with a start on the floor, covered in sweat and the bed sheets tangled around his legs. He carefully untangles his legs from the sheets. He stands and walks to the bathroom, he flips on the light and leans against the sink.

Turning on the tap he cups his hands and puts them under the stream of cold water. He splashes it on his face a few times then turns off the tap. He grabs a towel from behind him and dries his face.

He sighs looking at his ragged reflection, the nightmares were beginning to take their toll. He was up almost every night with them shaking and screaming. He grabs the glass off the edge of the sink and fills it up, his throat feeling raw, most likely he was screaming and shouting again. He swallows it back then sets the glass down and leaves turning the light off behind him.

He moves into the living room maneuvering through the room in the dark, he curses as he smacks his hip on a side table. He drops into the couch and sits there his head resting on the back. He wanted to forget what he did which was hard considering he wanted to remember who he was before.

He brings his knees to his chest and puts his head in his lap a he tries to push his nightmare from his mind. He falls asleep like that.
