Mia
I blinked open my eyes and my head immediately throbbed. Pain ebbed though my body as I slowly sat up. I looked up to see my blanket was still on the drop off and my body was still damp, so, I couldn't have been out long.
I rise to my feet stumbling a bit. I touch the back of my head and feel where blood had dried. Yikes, I must've hit hard though. And I know I'm definitely not getting that blanket back.
I sigh and turn around, looking at my surroundings. Then my heart jumped in my throat. Andrew could be close! I passed out! Who knows he close he could be by now?
I start off, walking amongst the trees. I don't hear his calls anymore. Maybe he stopped? Maybe he's long gone? I hoped for the best and just walked. I listened to the wind rustle through the trees. The sound of birds chirping and their wings fluttering as they fly away, free from torment. I sigh.
Soon, I find myself in a clearing....no? I look back and see it's just where the park ends. I see a road with cars driving by and my heart jumped. Cars...
Could I be saved?
I reluctantly walked to the road, probably looking like shit and watched as they flew by, creating a cold breeze to my damp body. Slowly, I stuck out my thumb like a hitchhiker and prayed it worked.
"Mia!" I heard Andrew. I jumped and screamed, searching my surrounds but to see no one. Mia girl, calm down you're hearing things. My hands shake as I poke my thumb out again, waving it to gain someone's attention.
After half an hour, I'm not standing there bored. Why would no one stop? I'm not going to kill anyone...
Finally, a car slows down and pulls over, rolling down their window. Suddenly, I got dejavu.
"Need help little girl?" asked the man in the seat. He seemed like Ned Flanders and I found that weird.
"Uhm, yes please." My voice was weak. I didn't realize how much I started shaking. "I'm Amelia Joan Roberts. Have you heard of me?" He thinks for a moment but then shrugs.
"It rings a bell. Why?"
"I was the girl from the news that got kidnapped months ago. I'm sure they've said something about us missing. I had just escaped my captor and I need to find the nearest police station. Quickly."
"Eh..well..you do look beaten up. But the nearest police station is nine miles away I can't make that kind of detour."
"Then can I come with you?" I desperately ask. "Just until you're finished with whatever and you can take me?"
"Uh..I don't know how I feel about taking a stranger errand running with me.."
"Please! I won't be a bother. I'll sit tight, I just...really could use some help." Tears pool in my eyes. "I've been out here for an hour, no one has helped me. I really don't want to go back with him. He hurts me..."
"Did he did that to you?" he points to all my scratches. I pause. If I said yes, would that convince him to help me? Or...would it scare him off?
"Please just help me, I don't have much time. He could be anywhere."
"Well I certainly don't want to be apart of whatever you're in. Are you on drugs?"
"Drugs?" I echo. Did he just-? "No! I'm not on drugs! Please help me! I don't want him to find me!"
"You're crazy lady."
"I told you i've been kidnapped! Look me up! Please!"
"I haven't seen anything on you..." My heart shatters. Was Andrew right? Did no one care? Did no one bother to look for me? They all really think I'm dead don't they? What about the police? How ere they involved if no one was looking for me? Ugh!
"Look, are you going to help me or not?"
"Sorry. I just can't." he says and rolls up his window. He quickly rejoins with the road and drives off. My body is shaking. What is happening?
I get as far away from this park as possible. As I walk away, I realize I didn't ask for that man to even point me in the right direction. DAMNIT! I mentally scold myself and continue forward. Maybe someone with COMMON SENSE will help me!

My body was sluggish and the sun had started to set. I was tired and in pain. My feet aches with every step and with every step I got slower. I had no idea where I was, I has no idea where I was going and it was getting colder by the second. Without my blanket, I'd freeze. I need shelter, fast.
On my quest, people had given me weird stares and most of the ignored me. It felt terrible. No one knew the danger I was in. No one knew who I even was. I thought I should be over the knew by now.
I guess not...
Guess i'm not that important.
I look around a see a restaurant, I don't have money but I just want wanted to point in the right direction. At least. I walk inside and immediately get stares. I feel so weird...
"Hello can I help you?" Says a cheery woman. I look at her name tag and it says Shelia.
"Yes. Please. I need to borrow a phone or something, I'm in danger."
"Danger? Why? What happened? Are you okay?"
"I'm Amelia Joan Roberts and I was kidnapped months ago. I managed to escape but now I have no idea where I am. I just need a little help so I don't freeze during the night."
She looked at me skeptically for a second out then looked and and sympathetic whilst nodding. "Okay, okay follow me. We have a phone here." I follow her through the 'employee only' section and I'm led into a kitchen. She points to the phone on the wall and stands patiently.
I quickly dashed to the phone and picked it up, dialing 911. It rang and then someone answered. I could've passed out right there, I was so happy.
"911 what's your emergency." said a woman.
"Hi, yes, I'm Amelia Joan Roberts. I was kidnapped and i've now managed to escape. Andrew is still in the loose and we got separated, I have no idea where he or I am right now,"
There was silence on the end for a moment. I think she was talking with someone. "Um, okay, could you find out where you are?" I nod but the mentally facepalm myself.
"Okay, give me a second." I take the phone away from my ear and look at the woman. "Can you tell me where I am? Or where this is located?"
"You're at IHOS on North Albany Road." she replied and I relayed that to the dispatcher.
"Okay you just sit tight. I've already sent units to your way. Don't leave. Keep someone near you. We'll be there less than fifteen minutes."
"Thank you! Thank you so much!" I smile.
"You're welcome, Amelia. We're glad you're safe. Goodbye now."
"Goodbye." I say and hear the line go dead. I put the phone on the receiver and look at Shelia. I couldn't believe it. I was free! I was free!
But then I heard him.
"Mia!"
