Andrew

Mia was gone. That's okay! We always find each other. It our connection. Our love is strong. Soo...don't panic Andrew. You're fine. She's fine. She's strong and brave. She's got this. Just get to her before something bad happens. Quickly please.

I have been repeating this to myself for the past four hours, straight. Some dickwad and his kid sits at the bench so I try to find another place to stand not-so-suspiciously and next thing I know, Mia is fucking missing.

I've been wandering around the park for a while but I figured she thought I'd reach out farther to help her. So I did. I've been walking near a road in hopes to see her. But there was this one car that slowed down when passing me.

But now, the sun was starting to set and I had already cried twice. So many bad things ran across my mind. What if she was severally hurt? Or someone took her? I'd never be able to find her.

I can't lose my Mia. I can't I cant...

Sirens in the distance makes my snap out my horrid thoughts. Sirens. Maybe it's Mia? Maybe someone found her in a bad state and called the police? Even if it wasn't Mia, I wasn't going to take the chance that it could be.

Okay, but how would I keep up with cars? I look up and get an idea. Out of my backpack, I pull out my gun and load it. I'll cock it for dramatic purpose later. I hid it in my pants for the time beginning, fixing my shirt over it.

I walk up to a gas station and see a man about to enter is car with a bag in his hand. I can barely hear the sirens now so I rush over to him, pulling the gun out, discreetly. I lean against his car and point the gun at him from my waist. "Don't move." I tried to sound as intimidating as I could. "Unlock the car, now." I demanded and he started at me, shocked. Now, I cock the gun and his eyes widened. "Now."

He nods and unlocks it and steps away. I wasn't going to steal this man's car. No. I was better than that. He can keep his damn car. "Now. Get in the car slowly." I say, opening the back door. he does without question. I get in the back and I sit in the middle, pointing the gun to his head.

"You hear those sirens? Follow them."

"Look man I-" I cut him off by pressing the gun to his head and nudging him.

"I don't have all day! Follow them, hurry!" he turned on the car and backed out. I couldn't even hear the sirens anymore. I swear if that was Mia and this asshole made me miss her I was going to shoot out his fucking kneecaps.

He drives in the direction the police cars went but we still don't hear anything.

"Turn left here." I say and he does. "Can't this piece of shit drive any faster?" I spit.

"You may have me at gunpoint but I'm not going to drive recklessly."

I narrowed my eyes. "Are you fucking empty?" I snarled. "Like, are you being completely serious right now? You have a gun to your head yet you won't-" I stopped and bit back my anger. Of course, I find the idiots. "Drive faster or you're going to find a bullet in you." I promised and he stayed silent, going slightly faster. Finally, I could hear the sirens coming back within earshot.

I quickly look around and see familiar red and blue lights not too far away. My heart jumps and I grip the gun tighter. "Stop here!" I yell and he slams on the brakes. "Park farther away. Back up!" He pulls back his gear shift and guns it in reverse. We park to the point you could barely hear them.

"Get out." I said, determinedly, poking him with the gun.

"I just wa-"

"I don't give a damn what you want. Get out the car." He opened the door and slid out while I did the same. Right as I shut the door, a fist made connection with my cheek.
