Bendy landed on his feet, cool as ever, until Mickey came barreling through and crashed into him, swirls replacing his eyes.

The majestic Gremlin Gus peered over, chorteling. "Are yins all right there?"

"Y-yeahhh..." Bendy groaned, rubbing his head. "That was, until Mickey came and ruined my perfect landing!"

Mickey did not laugh. He actually looked a little paranoid, and quickly scrambled to get away from him.

Gus raised his brow. "Mickey?"

"Not now, Gus," Mickey said through clenched teeth. His body still ached and, yes, his soul kept tugging. He didn't want to have to depend on this demon to be next to him and feel sane. He didn't really trust him, either. Sure he felt some good in him, but...

The memory and knowing what he had done...

It freaked him out.

Bendy got up and bushed himself off, fixing his one article of clothing: his bow tie.

When he believed to be satisfied, he looked up to Gus and held out a hand, tail swishing in random spasms.

"Nice to meet you, 'Gus'," Bendy spoke politely. Gus smiled through his gray comb-like mustache, and said,

"Look! We've got a polite one!"

Mickey got up and jerked his head to the side. His heart was pounding out of his chest.

"Gus, where is Oswald?"

Gus departed hands with Bendy and looked at him, father-like eyes searching him worried my, noticing his post and aching pains. And then,

He noticed the weak aura of his soul.

"Golly! Oswald can wait! You need attention! Did you fall or something? Your soul is... Fading..." Gus looked at the demon and noticed his oozing heart pulling towards Mickey. It was healthier, stronger and brighter.

The color drained from his face, ashen as it was, and his voice was quiet.

"Something's not right here."
