The demon laid his head back on the pillows, his forehead still slowly staining the bandages that hung down low on his head like a bandana.
Mickey sat on his bed at the other side of the room. The nurse tried her best to have Bendy sip more water, but he just declined every time, moving his head out of the way.
"I don't need it," he'd say every time. "Joey, please..."
The nurse finally set the glass down in defeat. "I won't make you drink it. But you'll have to later on, you know."
Bendy had only nodded glumly in response.
The nurse pressed the fact that if anything happens- to ring the bell and she would try her best to come directly down.
Mickey nodded as Bendy gave a weak thumbs- up.
The nurse left, and Mickey couldn't help but slide out of bed to sit on the edge of the demon's.
"Hey. Are you-?"
"I'm fine." Bendy spoke loudly. He ripped off some of the soaked bandages and threw it into the garbage bin at the side of the bed.
Mickey bent down off the bed and picked up the small roll of bandages.
"You honestly don't sound fine. If you need to talk, you know you can always speak to me, right?"
The demon blinked. "I know. I'm just worried about why I keep seeing them." He winced as Mickey began rolling the bandages around his covered eyes again.
"Well, it's okay. You'll feel better soon... I think." he paused for a second and put the bandage roll back. "I mean, the effects should have been tested, I agree to that. But I think the doctor truly hasn't seen much like what you did to our souls before. I remember hearing somewhere that soul studies are pretty new, and we don't know much about them."
Bendy chuckled. "Great. And the longer I'm stuck inside this place, the longer I'm kept away from my studio." His face seemed to darken immensely. Mickey sighed.
"You can't go back there."
The demon snapped, "Yes I can."
"Bendy. Be serious. You keep mumbling 'Joey this' and, 'Joey that'. That place is not healthy for you!"
"Yeah, well neither is staying here while my soul is dying!" He shouted. He stopped himself. He didn't have to see to know what expression was spread upon the mouse's face.
"...That's why you wanted to merge, isn't it?" His voice was surprisingly quiet.
Bendy said nothing.
"Bendy?"
Still nothing.
The mouse blinked as he sighed and stood up.
"Should we just talk later, then?"
"...Yeah..."
The demon rest his head down in the opposite direction of Bendy. "I'll be okay," he whispered to himself. "I'll find them."

Mickey stayed awake, as he thought about what Bendy had said.
"I wasn't born right..."
What did that mean?
Suddenly, Bendy lurched awake with a cry.
"Boris, don't go!" His shoulders shook, tears staining the fresh bandages.
Mickey sighed, and bent over, only to ring the bell.
He saw them again.

Sorry it's pretty short. It's hard to write when there are people everywhere... It makes it hard to concentrate. -_-
