Oswald stood over his brother, a distant look in his eyes.

He snapped out of his stuporous gaze and glanced at the other, mysterious toon on his opposite side. Blankets had been placed upon both of the toons, and yet Bendy was still shivering. He kept muttering under his breath. Unintelligible words were whispered out, and Oswald felt a sad sort of pity for the demon. According to Gus, they had both falled down almost at the exact same time. It wasn't like Oswald trusted Gus, but the story was a tad suspicious.

Suddenly, the demon awoke, cheeks painted grey. His eyes had dark shadows beneath them. In a broken voice, he fumbled for words.

"Is... He... I mean, his heart..." His eyes searched Oswald's, and he immediately took another shaky breath.

Oswald sat down on the edge and sighed. "He should be okay. I won't let a doctor in yet, though. Are you okay...?"

Bendy's expression was forlorn. Oswald noticed Bendy rub his wrist tenderly.

"... How am I?"

"Yes."

Bendy winced, tears clinging to the corner of his eyes. "He's in pain."

Oswald perked up. "How do you know?" He immediately got up and looked at Mickey's face, seeing the sweat roll of his cheek. It was then when the older brother realized that what he saw was a tear.

Bendy was at a loss for words. He would be in deep sh*t if he told this cartoon, feeling the brotherly love emit from the rabbit. He breathed, and said nothing.

Oswald was okay with that. He ran out of the room and called for a doctor, which was perhaps something he should have done earlier...?

Bendy felt horrid as a doctor came rushing in, giving him a nod as he took one look and shook his head with disbelief.

"This is not normal..." He took the curtains, and pulled them around him and the pained mouse.

Bendy felt a growl come into his non-existent throat. His soul hand tightened into a fist as he glared, yellow pupils shining through his pie cut eyes. But it died down as Bendy breathed a long and slow breath. He shook off the uncertainty, and settled into the soft hospital pillows, eyes wide open in swollen fear.

But it wasn't his fear.

It was Mickey's.
