Bendy smiled as he helped the mouse up, the cartoon's limbs were groaning from the pressure.
"Sorry."
Mickey grimaced. "For what?"
"Everything."
Mickey looked at him in surprise. "I don't know what had gotten into the both of us, but... I think we both better get back in check."
"Okay."
Mickey felt surprised. "You... Are fine with it? Really?"
Bendy shrugged. "I don't really have much of a choice here, anyway. I never really had."
Mickey cocked his head. "What do you mean?"
Bendy's silence gave him the clue to back away from that question.
"Okay, then-"
"Joey."
"... What?"
Bendy allowed him to lean onto a wall for support as he breathed before continuing.
"I was answering your question. You wanted me to elaborate. So I did."
"...What did Joey do to make you so..." He coughed. "...You?"
Bendy smiled a fake smile. "He was my creator. But you already knew that..." He thought for a second. "He wasn't exactly 'bad'. He was just... Greedy, ya know?"
Mickey only shook his head.
Bendy sighed. "Well, everyone here thought that Joey was insane. And it isn't like I occupied here before everyone left... I'm just... A mirage of his mistakes. I don't exactly want to blame him for that... I mean, everyone makes mistakes. It's... It's only natural.
"And I find it funny how no one thought eternal life was possible. But we aren't in the real world..."
He glanced into Mickey's curious eyes.
"We're living in a story that will never end. Never change. But I want it to change... And if you can get me out of here... That's would be a Dream Came True."
Mickey thought for a moment, processing what the demon had just said.
"I'll take you home with me," he decided fully. "I'll help you break the cycle."
"Thank you, Mick. Now, how about I try and help you?"
Mickey felt hesitant, but then he said-
"An exchange get of services."
Bendy chuckled.
"Whatever you say."
