*a/n this is really bad but it may get a bit better...*
The reassuring hug seemed to help the demon, but when Mickey began to part it, the demon only tightened it's already tight grip.

"N...not yet..."

Mickey's mind reeled, bit in the end he only smiled. "Whatever you need."

Though Bendy was not one to cry, he couldn't help the dark tears that stung his eyes. Pretty soon, real tears of pain were sliding down Bendy's face, and Mickey slowly parted, and then caringly wiped them away with his thumb.

"Don't cry. We're fine now, right?"

Bendy smiled, and now more tears- happy tears- slid down his face. It didn't take any more words from Bendy's mouth to hear thanks any more. Mickey could see it in the demon's glossy eyes... He was grateful.

A clattering noise sounded, and Mickey couldn't help but look around, big ears twitching.

And then-

Bendy stood up.
But on his face was a grey tint. But the funny thing was on Mickey's, there appeared to be a light in his eyes, and a crimson blush on his cheeks.

Bendy brushed away the fresh tears, and frowned.

Mickey's voice came out in a whisper.

"What was that...?"

Bendy seemed to hear the continuous dull tapping. His eyes narrowed, his friends more obvious on his face. The happy moment of reassurance was over.

The demon stretched out his hand, and Mickey clasped it, getting up. His body felt exhausted, and pitifully weak.

And then, Bendy took both of Mickey's hands and brought them up to his chest. His eyes were serious.

"You look... Worse."

"Gee, thanks."

"This isn't something to joke about!" Bendy snapped, again with another mood change. "This is serious crap! Your soul..." His voice drowned away, and Mickey cocked his head. Bendy looked ashamed for something.

"W...What's wrong?"

Bendy looked automatically angry with himself.

"Your soul is damaged, Mickey. I don't know if I can fix it... I'm... Sorry."

Mickey sighed quietly. There was tension engulfing them. But through even that, Mickey ignored it and spoke once more.

"What about you?"

Bendy looked right into his eyes. "What do you mean? We're talking about you, not me. I could care less what happened to me."

LIES.

"shut up..." Bendy scolded his thoughts, closing his eyes, forehead scrunching up with the tenseness in the stuff air.

"Bendy-"

"Mickey."

The mouse shook his head, bewildered. "I want to help you-"

"First, let me help you!"

"...How?"

Bendy looked sad once more. "...Follow me."
