CHAPTER 10

All I can think about is Daniel. That kiss was amazing and I really like him. I get up and check my phone. Emma texted me.

Text convo between Callie and Emma

Emma: Soooo last night?

Callie: Yea?

Emma: You and Daniel ;)

Callie: Yea about that.

Callie: We sorta kissed...

Emma: You "sorta" kissed?

Callie: Ok we kissed.

Emma: Awwww. Congrats. I've always shipped you guys.

Callie: Thanks but idk if we are even a couple.

Emma: Well you gotta figure that out.

Callie: Yea ik

I get a notification that Daniel tagged me in a photo. It's a picture with Daniel's arms wrapped around me saying "What a great night :)." I like it and comment ":)))".

Then I decide to post as well. The first picture is similar to the one Daniel posted and then there was a group photo of me, Daniel, Emma, and Matt. I captioned it with a party emoji and tag everyone. 5 seconds later I get a text from Erica.

Erica: Who's the dude????

Callie: Um idk how to explain it.

Callie: We are really good friends and I like him and well we kissed last night sooooo.

Erica: OMG RLLY?

Callie: Yep!

Erica: You go girl.

Callie: Ahaha thanks.

Erica comments on the post saying "So cute!" A few minutes later Daniel comments the heart-eyed emoji and the butterflies come back.

I decide to head downstairs for breakfast. When I walk downstairs I see my dad panicking.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Connor didn't come home last night." my dad says still panicked.

My heart drops.

"What should we do?" I ask.

"I don't know. He's not answering his phone. I should have never let him go to that party."

A silence fills the air.

"I don't even have Andrew's parents numbers. Callie do you have Andrew's number?"

"No, but I can ask my friends."

"Can you do that now please. I'm kinda panicking right now."

"Yea."

I run upstairs my heart racing now because we don't know where Connor is.

I pick up my phone and call Daniel because he might have Andrew's number. He picks up on the second ring.

"Hey, you woke me up."

"Do you have Andrew's number?"

I must have sounded really worried because he asked:

"Yea, why what's wrong?"

"Connor never came home. And he went to Andrew's house cuz he had a party and now he's not here. And he's not answering his phone. What if something happened?"

"Ok Callie you need to calm down. I'm sure Connor is ok. He probably fell asleep at Andrew's house and his phone died."

"Yeah probably. Anyways can you give me his number so I can contact him?"

"Yeah sure."

Daniel gives me Connor's number.

"Thanks so much Daniel," I say.

"Yeah, no problem. Tell me when you find him Callie."

"Of course."

"Oh and later can we talk about last night."

Butterflies pop up in my stomach again.

"Yeah, of course."

"Okay, bye Callie. And don't worry your brother is fine."

"Thanks. Bye Daniel."

I hang up and immediately text Andrew.

Callie: Hey! This is Callie, Connors sister, and I was wondering if Connor stayed over there or not?

There was no response.
