We stopped in front of a park. Daniel gets out of the car to open the door for me. When he's walking over I say to Mrs.King, "It was nice meeting you!"

"You too sweetie, have a good time!" she says.

Daniel opens the door and I get out. We intertwine fingers as Mrs.King drives away. He leads me to the side of the park where there is a picnic blanket and basket set up.

"You did this for me?" I ask smiling.

"Yep," he responds smiling.

"What a romantic," I say while getting on the blanket.

He sits down across from me and opens up the basket.

"You got me all my favorite foods?" I ask.

"Yeah," He says blushing.

I smile at him before looking through the basket. Man do I really like this kid. He remembered all of my favorite food.

"I really, really like you, Daniel," I say.

"Ah, my mom was right."

I give him a confused look.

"She said the best way to a woman's heart is through food."

I laugh, "She is not wrong."

"I'm glad you really, really like me. Cuz I really like you too."

By this time I'm pretty sure we're both blushing really hard. Most of the time was spent talking and eating. I got to know a lot about Daniel and he got to know a lot about me. Once we finished eating he suggested that we walk around a little.

"Ugh, but I'm so full," I say dramatically lying down on the blanket.

He laughs, "Come on Callie, you got this."

I hold out my hand and he lifts me up. We walk around for a little while, and Daniel never lets go of my hand. By now the suns setting and we sit down on a bench.

"Man, that's beautiful," Daniel says.

"Yep," I say as I pull out my phone to take a picture of it.

"Not as beautiful as you though," he says.

I cringe.

"Too much?" He asks smiling.

"Yeah," I say still cringing.

Since I still have my phone out I decide to take a photo of us.

"Smile," I say.

He smiles and we take a cute photo.

"Hey so I have a question," Daniel says a little worried.

"Yeah, what is it?" I ask while posting the photo of Daniel and me on Snapchat.

"Do you want to be my girlfriend, like officially?"

"I'd love to," I say looking at him in the eyes.

He smiles and then leans in for a kiss. I kiss him back.

"So, girlfriend, what do you wanna do now?" Daniel asks.

"Give me your phone," I say.

He hands it over and puts unlocks it. I go into setting and change his background to the photo we just took.

"There we go," I say handing him his phone back.

"I love it," He says, "But don't you think your lock screen should have a picture of us too?"

"Fine," I say. I grab out my phone and open the camera app. Instead of smiling Daniel kisses my cheek. I then switch my lock screen to that photo, "There we go."

We sit and watch the rest of the sunset, and then Daniel's mom drives me back to the hospital.

"Thanks so much for driving Mrs. King!" I say as I hope out of the car.

"No problem!" She says.

Daniel's mom is so nice. Daniel decides to walk me back up to Connors room.

"You really didn't have to do that," I say still holding his hands as we stand outside the room.

"I wanted to," He says smiling.

I go on tippy toes and lean up to give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks for the amazing date," I say.

"Thanks for being my girlfriend."

"I'll call you later."

"Alright, bye Callie," he says smiling.

"Bye Daniel," I say probably smiling harder.

Our hands separate and we start to walk away. He looks back and smiles and I smile back. Once Daniel is out of eye-sight I walk into the room.

"I'm guessing it went well?" Connor asks.

"Yep," I respond smiling, "He asked me to be his girlfriend."

"Congrats! Where did he take you?"

"He took me to a park and set up a picnic."

"Cute."

I must have been smiling really hard because Connor said:

"You must really like him."

"Yeah, I do. Anyways, is there anyone you like?"

"Um no, not really."

"Come on Connor. You can tell me."

"No, seriously Callie. I don't like anyone right now."

"Okay," I say not really believing him.

"Hey Callie, I have to say something to someone and you have to promise not to tell anyone about this conversation ever."

"What," I say a little nervous.

"I think I may be gay..."
