quirk apprehension test.

like middle school gym class but with a twist.

[name] knew that aizawa wasn't fucking around when he said he'd expel the last placer. with a record of 154 expulsions in his teaching career, 20 of whom was expelled only last year, the entirety of his previous advisory class. he was a terror teacher and it's gonna be hell for everyone under his rule.

if anything, he was being considerate for expelling only last place.

[name] glances over to the green-haired boy who arrived second to the last earlier. his name was midoriya, if she remembers correctly. he was visibly shaken and fear decorated his face.

is he that diffident of his ability? being admitted to UA through entrance exams alone should give him the confidence that he's strong enough not to get expelled and that he deserves to be here. the place has a 0.33% acceptance rate for fuck's sake.

unlike me who was sent here by pulled strings and returned favors.

ah, cronyism at its finest.

[name] knew in every way that she was a powerful person. her quirk and high iq combined made her a strong opponent, well enough to secure her a high rank if she chose to be a pro hero.

she means no offense to the other students who were recommended but she hated the fact that her mother wouldn't even let her take the chance of securing her own place in UA.

it was like she had no confidence that [name] could earn her spot herself through taking the entrance exams.

they treated the hero industry like a business. a way to gain fame and fortune and filled with the very same corruption and injustice as any other industry there is.

or maybe she's just overreacting and exaggerating.

sure, perhaps she did deserve the recommendation because she was gifted and showed promise. but [name] thought that she would feel more deserving of the spot in UA if she had worked for it.

no matter, what's done is done. it's time to focus on the issue on hand.

"diE!" a scream interrupts [name]'s thoughts as she was just snapping out of it. she recognizes the shriek as the same voice that lashed out on her earlier.

the fucker had mercilessly launched the ball into the air, making it travel over seven hundred meters.

hm, not bad, [name] chuckles to herself. his threats did have some sort of backbone to them then, eh?

"eh?" what the fuck? the fuck am i, canadian?

[name]'s train of thought speeds off to nowhere again, after only jumping out of it a few seconds prior. she had the attention span of a bee and she hated it. it was one of her few weaknesses.

she's once again brought back to reality when the others start to move to a different part of the field.

as the others started, she watched the spikey boy closely as he took the test. he seemed desperate to prove his strength to others, it was sad—almost anyway.

heh, i have an idea. she grins.

first, the fifty-meter dash.

b̶a̶k̶u̶g̶o̶u̶ k̶a̶t̶s̶u̶k̶i̶ score to beat: 4.13 seconds
current highest score (iida tenya): 3.04 seconds

[name] readies herself as the others started to line up. harden the ground, have the air push me as i run. her eyes glow a bright [eye color].
