it was strange being back to normal. almost as if everyone had to pretend that they weren't just victims of a recent villain attack—practically attempted murder.

[name] was baffled at how fast everyone was able to get back to their regular bases like these kinds of attacks were ordinary, but then again not everyone felt the need to dive into the middle of the battle and get their asses handed to them.

training for the sports festival, [name] hasn't given it any thought. she's been more focused on her upcoming competition.

now that she's thinking about it, she probably didn't even need to join the sports fest entirely. the whole purpose of the bit was for ua students to attract the attention of hero agencies to apply internships for and to get them under the public spotlight in general.

[name] has had enough share of spotlight, she felt. it had been shining on her ever since she got her provisional hero license two years ago and it couldn't be more annoying to get so much attention for something that was the norm, in america at least.

[ in america, with the sponsorship of a hero agency, a hero-in-training can obtain their license as early as age 12! [name] got hers when she was thirteen, after much persistence from her mother. ]

first period finally ends, math class coming up. [name] keeps her things and quietly slips out of the classroom for her daily training with shinsou.

sometimes she ponders whether her classmates even notice she's gone. (they do, of course. they've been meaning to ask her what it's all about but she's kind of intimidating and hard to approach.)

[name] arrives in the library, riko-sensei and shinsou already there. the usual training session occurs, written elimination, et cetera. the only notable thing that happened was shinsou telling her they wouldn't be able to eat lunch together, which kinda sucked because [name] wanted to talk to him about the sports festival.

the rest of the morning classes breeze by and soon enough, the bell rings, waking [name] up from her distracted daze. the events of the week somehow still haven't sunk in for her.

nevertheless, she shakes her head and heads for the cafeteria. she notices midoriya getting called by all might before she leaves, making her suspicion that they're connected grow further.

uraraka calls her over.

"i wonder what all might wants with deku," she says. iida continues, "i heard midoriya dashed in to help when all might was attacked, maybe it's about that?"

"but [name]-chan helped the pro heroes too!" uraraka adds.

[name] awkwardly chuckles, "i kinda passed out after a bit though."

"nonsense!!" ochaco exclaims. "who knows how much worse it could've been if you didn't rush in to help, [name]-chan!"

"well, as asui mentioned, they have similar super strength," iida says. "perhaps all might has taken a liking to him."

"i agree," [name] adds. in her peripheral vision, she notices todoroki glance at them in front of the line.

so he's interested in midoriya's quirk too, huh?
