7:53 AM

[name] arrives, later than she did before. now, three people in the classroom.

todoroki, bakugou, and her.

both seemed to mind their own businesses, the former reading a book and the latter playing some game on his phone.

bakugou's eyes shoot to the open door when he notices the sound and he glares at [name] and turns back to his game.

well, good morning to you too! [name] thinks sarcastically.

she trudges to her desk to the left of the quiet half-and-half male who was still focused on the book he was invested in. once [name] does slam her stuff on her desk, the male's attention is reverted to the loud sound.

[name] sits and lays her head on the back of her chair, staring at the ceiling.

today's gonna be a loooong day.

--

english. boring. math. boring. biology. boring. chemistry. boring. physics. boring.

japanese and japanese literature. actually okay.

[name] always loved school. studying and doing homework was her thing. she never thought she'd see the day when she'd complain that physics was too boring.

she could be taking advanced maths by now. not basic bullshit that she already took and studied before.

so far she's been scolded by two teachers for dozing off on the very first day, which was unlike her since she always loved going to classes and actually learning.

the rest of the morning was a blur; the teacher arrives, introduces the subject, starts with the basics, yada yada, so on and so forth.

finally! her savior: the bell.

lunchtime arrives and the students flock out. [name] stays put to avoid the heavy foot traffic and decides to take a nap. she wasn't much of an eating person, certainly not during the day. she preferred having her meals by herself, at home, after school.

a light tap on [name]'s shoulder makes her open her eyes. she thought everyone had left already and didn't know who to expect but it turned out to be the quiet red-and-white-haired male that's been sitting next to her the whole morning.

"it's lunchtime already," he says, staring into her eyes.

[name] grunts, "i know. aren't you going down to eat?"

"i am," todoroki answers. "i just thought you wouldn't have wanted to miss lunch."

"i'm good, you go ahead," [name] waves him off. he responds with a polite nod and heads out.

[name] scoffs when she confirms everyone is out of earshot.

being a hero is so trivial.

she, honestly, finds the career to be overrated. get paid by the government to save people. if popular enough, gain extra money through royalties when merchandise is sold.

heroes are over-glorified celebrities and she scorns at most people who want to be one. some even so desperately.

this is why she looks down on UA. UA faculty, UA students, everything about UA and quite frankly, the superhuman community in general.

her mother makes it sound like an absolute fucking delight to be a hero but it's not as great as people make it out to be.

this is honestly the best time to be thinking about this, [name] says in her head sarcastically. literally less than an hour until my first official hero class.

man, i just wanna go home.

--

"im.. normally entering through the door!"

the loud voice booms in the classroom and students gasp and chat in awe.

[name] stares quietly at the large buff male.

all might.

one of the few heroes she respects. despite being an international hero legend, he lives a humble life.

all might merchandise is sold all over the world yet he takes no shit and earnestly makes a living through genuine from-the-heart hero work.

someone who's in the game to be an actual hero, not some phony looking to make names for themselves and to earn quick bucks.

she never thought someone she revered so well she'd end up loathing for being the cause of her personal problems yet there they were.

he's the reason my mother changed her mind so quickly, she hisses. so tell me,

what about his teaching will benefit me oh-so much?

"battle training!" his deep voice announces loudly. he announces the activities for the first class and shows the shelves protruding out the left wall of the classrooms.

"change into these, and meet me at ground beta!"

--

[name] changes into her "hero costume." a plain black skintight suit that covered her neck all the way up to her palm, sort of like she was wearing fingerless gloves. a highlight of the suit, the thin padded part on her nape area which served the purpose of covering up her most accessible fatal pressure point, her primary weak spot.

the suit reached to her ankles and black running shoes were on her feet. a white utility belt on her waist, holding a small book, a wallet, and her phone. finally, she wore her hair in a tight bun to keep it from bothering her as she moved.

she was quite fond of the outfit. probably unlike most of the students, she's been using the outfit—or at least variations of it—since she was eleven, back in sixth grade. she loved how it lets her move as freely as if she was wearing no clothes at all.

stretching as she does so, [name] walks with the rest of the class to ground beta.

she watches others as they donned their costumes, some a bit too revealing for her tastes but it wasn't for her to decide what other people should wear.

her eyes lead to todoroki, looking absolutely hideous. ice completely covered his left side, with the exception of his hand and boot. she didn't know if the red dot where his eye was supposed to be was the thing that made the outfit bad or worse. he would've been fine if he just stuck to the plain white shirt, pants, and boots, getup.

he's so attractive too, which he unfortunately all covered up. maybe he just doesn't have a good sense of clothing.

[name] infers that todoroki has an issue with his left side, maybe something related to the burn scar on his eye.

now she knew that he had an ice quirk of some kind, since that was the theme of his outfit, so that sort of works to her advantage.

she continues analyzing the rest of the students and their outfits, quietly laughs at midoriya's tacky all might-inspired one, and at bakugou's—which very accurately represented his personality.

hey, maybe this battle training thingamajig's actually gonna be at least a little bit fun.

--

tl;dr: [name]'s first regular class day in ua. she meets all might in the flesh and realizes that some in her class have poor clothing taste.
