[name] slept. it was a long dreamful sleep that depicted so much more of her past that she forgot. moments like when they said goodbye to their family in japan, and the times she and kousuke would run around playing in their large house.

it was crazy. all these memories that came flooding back to her. driving to a traditional japanese house, playing with red and white headed siblings she could no longer recall the names of and running around in their courtyard.

todoroki shouto. i guess it's true. but why doesn't he remember me?

[name] wakes up with her heart racing. she runs her hands through her messy bed hair. she contemplates whether to talk to him. she's conflicted. she wants to, because she wants to regain him as a friend and she doesn't want to be awkward around him anymore. but she hates confrontation.

when they talked in the library, it took her a solid five minutes to calm down. now something of this magnitude? to talk about? she felt like she needed a therapist instead.

she checks the time to see it was still six in the morning. plopping down on her bed, she thinks.

i don't think i'll tell him.

there's got to be a reason why he didn't.

she groans. today was going to be a long day.

---

[name] got up and went to school a bit later than usual. she contemplated not going at all, but it seemed impractical. she was stressed, but she always performed well under pressure. not going to school that day would prove otherwise.

she arrives five minutes before class started, the noisy chattering of the students already flooding her ears. she opens the door to see everyone fussing over the hero killer incident, as well as the three involved.

"when it comes to the internships, [name]-san had the most badass one!" kaminari exclaims, as he notices her walking through the door. "did you see how she took down two nomus with hawks?!"

they bombard her with questions asking for details on the incident, but she really wasn't in the mood to entertain. she remembers the concern they show her, however, and didn't want to feel like a bitch so she tries her best to respond.

"settle down, you guys," todoroki interrupts. "aizawa-sensei will be here soon." iida agrees, "class is about to start! get to your seats!" he says in a much louder tone.

[name] gives them both a smile and a quiet thanks as she took her seat. midoriya asks about her wellbeing before going to his. it was awfully kind of them, considering she wasn't much help during the hero killer. and because they decided not to release the story to the press, the class was making a bigger deal of her than the three of them, since they were "rescued by endeavour."

[name] thought what a horrible mindset it was, to praise the reckless. heros who risk their lives trying to defeat villains, sure, it was brave. but it didn't seem very healthy to encourage the system of having to risk your life to seem valuable to the hero community.

ah, what do i know?

---

the lunch bell rings. [name] decided not to tell todoroki about what she found out, but she was still on a quest to learn more about her past. she wasn't jumpy and weird around him anymore, which meant what kousuke told her might have calmed her nerves.

again, if they had told me everything in the first place, everything would be so much easier.

she approaches todoroki as he was about to leave the classroom.
