Biology Sucks

Rogers P.O.V
"Don't forget your homework is due tommorow" Mr Reed droned on "Anybody who shows up without it will be staying for an after school, Understand?"

I rolled my eyes at this statement. I couldn't give a shit whether I did or didn't so my science project, I put my feet up on the desk and began drawing on my hand.

"Mr Taylor feet off the desk please" I heard Mr Reed call from the front "Please get on with the work or else you'll be joining me at the end of school"

I grudgingly put my feet down with an exaggerated groan and began writing in my book after receiving an unimpressed glance from my professor.

Mr Reed was weary of me and some other people who sat at the back of the classroom, he watched us like a bloody hawk, it was really difficult to get any work done with him watching our every move.

I sat on the back row with my friends Kian and Lawrence, Lawrence cared a lot about his education, he was a shy, timid boy, with long brown hair that was shoulder length, emerald green eyes and pale skin.

His parents were training him up to be a fucking science wiz kid and they took his studies so seriously that he wasn't allowed more than half an hour to do whatever he wanted at the weekends before he was dragged away to revise for an upcoming exam.

Kian, on the other hand, had trouble finding a single fuck to give about biology or any subject for that matter like me and about 99% of the kids in our class.

He would rather be spending time outside playing football or going out drinking than being cooped up inside a lecture hall for three hours a day.

He was a wild spirit, he had short, black hair and brown eyes, his skin was tanned from him being of Latin descent and he had a little bit of a beard growing.

His father worked as a manager for an estate agent company, he had picked Kians studies because his dad wanted his son to get an 'easy' future.

Kian loathed his father, he didn't have a mother, she died whilst giving birth to his little sister Sophie and his dad had never re-married.

I gazed outside the window, I wished I was one of the birds, be able to be free and fly away from any problems I faced.

Lawrence was furiously scribbling down notes from the science textbook and Kian was drawing on the table with a black marker.

"Why haven't you done anything?" Lawrence squeaked nervously at Kian, who had finished drawing what looked like a penis on the table and was pretending to read from the worksheet.

"I really can't be asked" Kian groaned, he turned an looked at me "Ooh Roger has written something though" I snapped back to reality, I scrambled to cover up what I had been writing and glared at him

"Writing a love letter to Jenny?" He teased making Lawrence giggle slightly from behind him.

"You know I don't like that bitch" I growled, glancing up at Mr Reed to make sure he was busy doing something else rather than watching us. "So you can cut the bullshit and leave me alone"

"Alright whatever you say mate" Kian held his hands up in a surrender and turned back to Lawrence and the worksheet.

I slowly uncovered what I had been writing, it was a love letter, a love letter to someone I had loved for a while now but I didn't have the guts to talk to.

His name was Freddie Bulsara and I knew him through my friend Tim, our schools were really near eachother and sometimes I would meet up with him at Lunch or After school.

He was absolutely gorgeous, with long  ink black hair that was Lawrence's length, his dark brown eyes, his exotic look, everything about him was explosive.

He had the most adorable smile, he would always try and cover up his teeth whenever he laughed but when we were alone he didn't care.

But there was one thing holding me back, I wasn't sure if he was gay, I lay awake thinking about what our life would be like together.

We would make the perfect couple, and we would make the most perfect kids. But sometimes I thought to myself about why we couldn't be together.

My parents, they would be disgusted in me, Freddie and I could be arrested for being homosexual, we would be frowned upon.

That's why I had kept it secret from him, he would probably be horrified to hear that a guy liked him, even more horrified that it was me.

I had this game I would play, I would lead a girl on into believing that I loved her, 'Get together' with her, have her perch on my arm for a week, shag her and then break up with her.

I know it sounds horrible and it is but at the same time it's kind of funny, most of the girls who become my 'girlfriends' cause so much drama that it's actually ridiculous.

I had a pretty young bird once called Maddie, she was cute and all but underneath her doll-like features she was a monster.

Kians girlfriend, Libby disliked Maddie and decided to go behind her back and spread some bullshit rumours about Maddie. They weren't even that bad.

Maddie got really pissed and punched the shit out of Libby until she had to be pulled off by two teachers.

Long story short, Libby got a minor punishment and Maddie got.. well.. Expelled. I hadn't heard from Maddie since and Kian broke up with Libby for starting a fight.

This is why I wanted to be with a boy, someone who got me, someone who understood, someone who was gentle and caring, someone like Freddie.

The schoolbell rang and every student rushed to shove their books into their
bags and leg it out of the hall, Mr Reed reminded everyone about the homework before letting a flood of students through the door.

Kian and I were talking about football whilst walking out of the lecture "Have you done the science project yet?" Lawrence chimed in, he squeezed inbetween us and stared us down.

"No" Kian scoffed, rolling his eyes and fishing around in his bag for a piece of paper. Lawrence stamped his foot angrily

"You guys need to do it! Biology is important!" He shrieked, putting his hands on his hips.

"Biology sucks" I grunted in reply and pushed past him and some other kids standing in the corridor.
