Freddies P.O.V
After Roger had left I got a call from a man named John Reid, who looked after Elton John, he had seen our demo from when we were recording our first and second albums.

He wanted to manage us and maybe even give us a signing, I felt bad, Roger was clearly upset about whatever the person said over the phone.

We had told Roger the news about John Reid and he seemed a little happy he still seemed really sad after the phone call, John had agreed to meet us at a really fancy bar down near Tower Bridge.

Roger arrived just after the rest of us, he had bags under his eyes and his face was red and puffy, he smiled at us weakly before sitting down opposite John.

"So" Reid began "I've heard your demo and I want to know what makes Queen different from all the wannabe rockstar out there" I tipped some ash into a nearby tray and sat back in my seat, an awkward silence hung over the four of us.

"I'll tell you what it is" I said, they all looked at me, I let them stare for a few seconds before saying "We're four misfits who don't belong together playing for all the other misfits" I smiled before covering up my teeth.

Roger was looking down at his lap, Reid seemed surprised and he stared at me intently, waiting for me to say something else, "We don't belong with eachother, we belong to them" I smiled at their shocked faces.

"If I can get you in the record shops, I can probably get you on the radio, if I can get you on the radio, I can probably get you on televison" Reid said "And maybe a tour of America"

"Top Of The Pops?" Roger asked, it was the first thing he had said since we'd got here, Reid looked at us and nodded.

"We'll want more" I said quickly still looking off into the distance, "Oh every band wants more" Reid replied looking at the four of us, "Every band's not Queen" John said.

Reid grinned at all of us and pulled out a contract placing it on the table, A man appeared behind him with two beers in his hands "Ah boys this is Paul Prenter" the man nodded and smiled at us.

"He'll be taking care of you" Paul walked back inside the bar, leaving us with Reid and the contract, he pushed a pen towards me and sat back in his seat, smirking at us, "This is your choice boys"

I looked at John, then at Brian and finally at Roger, They all were staring at the contract that was sitting infront of us, I took the pen in my hand and signed it before handing it to the others.

We each took turns signing the contract before pushing it back over to Reid, he took it in his hands like it was a winning lottery ticket and smiled at us, "Thank you, I look forward to working with you" He shook our hands and left.

"We'll that was fun" Brian said sarcastically as we walked out of the pub, "He seemed nice" John added digging into his pocket to find his car keys.

Roger was lighting a cigarette, he leaned against the wall and unlocked his car, "I'll see you guys tommorow" He said quietly as I got into his car, he drove off before we could say anything else.

"What's up with him?" Brian asked looking at me suspiciously, I grimaced "I honestly don't know anymore Bri" I shook my head, John gave me a suggestive look before turning away.

"Well I should probably get going" Brian said quickly walking away towards his car, I waved at him and realised that John was walking away as well.

I had been left alone on the sidewalk, the door opened behind me "Hello" said a voice, I flipped around and saw Paul standing in the doorway, a cigarette hung from his lips.

"Hey" I said quickly pulling a cigar from my pocket to ease the awkwardness, I put it in my lips and lit it, blowing a cloud of smoke up into the cool air, Paul closed the door and stood next to me.

The atmosphere was really thick here and I felt a little uncomfortable, Paul clamped a hand on my shoulder, "You are very handsome" He said looking at me.

"T-thank y-you" I said softly, he got closer to me, his hot breath tickling my ear, he leaned in to kiss my cheek but I leaned away "In fact" he whispered "You are absolutely gorgeous"

I shuffled away and stamped on my cigarette, quickly putting it out "That's enough thank you" I pushed him away and began walking away, towards my car.

I pulled my coat closer to my body, I quickly walked faster as I continued my way down the pavement, I pulled the keys out of my pocket and I opened my car.

"What the fuck was that?" I said to myself as I drove down the road, I felt the side of my cheek where he had tried to kiss me.

I looked in my rear view mirror to make sure Paul wasn't following me, it had become a habit of mine, paranoia can really bite you in the ass.

I drove to my apartment and stopped outside of it, I sighed and placed my head gently on the steering wheel, a knock at the window came and I quickly looked over at who it was.

Mary was smiling at me, her blonde hair was stuck to her cheeks and her gorgeous teeth, I smiled back and stepped out of the car, she wrapped her arms around me and pulled me into a heated kiss.

"How did it go?" She asked, smiling broadly at me, I looked at my feet and linked our hands "Not bad" I gave her a weak smile "Not bad at all" I enjoyed meeting Reid but there was one problem.

I didn't like Paul.
