A/N: Hey peeps! Thanks for staying with us! This chapter has a couple of POV changes, so just be careful. And happy reading! ♥
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"I don't care if I never see you again, I'll be alright.
Take this final piece of advice and get yourself together,
but either way, baby,
I'm gone."
- Kristina DebargePhil's POV (finally!)
I stood at the gate fidgeting with the zipper of my hoodie. I glanced at my watch. Eric, always fashionably late.
I heard his car pulling into the gate. After the mandatory security check, he got out of his car. He has a professional driver, but he always prefers to drive.
He smiled at me and waved. Why does Eric always keep on smiling? I rolled my eyes at him and shoved my watch in his face. He laughed and pushed it away. See? Always laughing and smiling.
"Fine, Fine. I'm sorry I'm late.", he puts up his hands. "You call me, and you're the one who's late." Another roll of eyes by me.
I start walking towards the palace, or my home. Eric follows. The doorman takes my jacket and Eric's too. Eric waves to his dad, the governor, my mother's most trusted advisor.
Maybe that's why Eric is my best, or mostly, my only friend. We grew up together, and he's never left my side. Even when I have my mood swings which, honestly even I can't bear.
His father shakes his head and waves back. We pass my sister, who sees Eric and gives a smile, with a slightly red face. She always had a tiny crush on him, even though she won't admit it.
"Woah, Renée, you're so happy to see him. Even more than me, one might say.", I say, smugly. Her face goes red.
"Go to hell Phil.", she glares at me. Eric laughs and pulls her cheek. She goes redder, if that was possible, and struts away.I grin at Eric, who was shaking his head. We go to my gigantic room. As I sit on my bed, Eric picks up an earing from the night stand, and looks at me questionably.
I rush to take it from his hand. "Who's is that?", he asks, curious. "Uh, no one.", I shrug it off.
The earing belonged to Amelia, of course. She must've dropped it while rushing out of the apartment. I had no idea why I'd kept it, but I had no heart to throw it away.
Maybe it was because I couldn't stop thinking about her. Our night was great, but that's all it was. I couldn't date her, with what I actually was.
But still, she was filling up my mind more with every passing second.
"Its her's isn't it? The girl you brought to my apartment that day?", Eric asked slowly.
I groaned and nodded my head. Nothing could be hidden from him. I was an open book to him.
"Mia, wasn't it? Pretty name, pretty girl. It's a shame nothing happened between you guys." , he said.
I glanced at him with an eyebrow raised. He never ever approves of the girls I have one night stands with.
"I mean", he continues, "She was the type of girl, who couldn't be just a one night stand."
I shrugged. "Whatever type she was, you know I can't date people with common blood."
He nodded then, and said nothing. I sat on the bed again and stared at him. He desperately wanted to say something, but was hesitating. "Say it, Eric. What are you waiting for?", I gave him a little push.
"Well....so yesterday I was at the club. And then I bump into her.", he says, glancing at the earing. "Who? Mia?", I asked.
He nods and then continues, "She wants to meet you." I look at him. He knows I don't meet people who I sleep with. Call me a douche, but that's how I was.
