And each time you kiss a girl
You never know what it's worth
You say all of the words they wanna hear
It isn't real

I arrived at Sydney's airport then looked down at my phone to call my mother. I saw the text I never sent to my father. I rolled my eyes. No wonder they never showed up at Jason's home.  What was the point of having my personal phone and job phone connected when I couldn't send a text through EITHER phone.

I pulled up my mother's phone number, and hesitantly put up the phone to my ear.

"Colin? Hey baby girl!"

I smiled then began to cry.

"Colin, baby, are you okay? What's going on?" She asked me worriedly.

"C-can you come pick me up mom?" I asked her through sobs.

"What? Where are you, baby?" She asked again, her worry only growing.

"A-at the airport" I looked around me "at Sydney airport" I told her.

"I'll be there in five minutes" she said then hung up.

I sighed in frustration because I was crying... again... why? Did I really let everyone get to me?

In Sydney, the time was so off compared to LA. It was around 18 hours ahead of our time so I was definitely already jet lagged.

A few people began to stare at me. Nothing new since I have bruises on my face, neck, and cuts on my face. And I was crying. And I only had two bags on me.

While I waited for my mom to find me I went to go trade in American dollars for Australian dollars.

I had seen my father sent me money to my bank account, so I was able to get more Australian money than I anticipated.

After I was done with that my mother then called, she sounded like she was running.

"Colin. Where are you!?" She asked in the phone.

"By the cash place-"

I didn't know what it was called but my mom knew immediately because she then shouted my name.

By the time I turned to look at her she was crying.

Why?
Why was my mother crying? Was it because I was crying? Because we hadn't seen each other in months? Or because I was more bruised than an old, unwanted banana.

"I have you, you're with momma now" she sobbed and held me tightly again.

Her assistant then showed up to help me with my bags.

"Hey, Frankie" I smiled.

"Bambina!" He smiled widely and pulled me in for a hug. "I've missed you" he chuckled.

"We both have" my mother corrected him. "I missed you two also" I wiped my tears.

"Let's get you to the hotel and get you cleaned up, you look exhausted" Frankie said picking up my bag.
