Her
Sunken in my thoughts the bus made it's stop. The rain covered the window, and the school looked rather depressing and empty.

Just like you.

I took a deep breath and put in my earbuds. Putting on a comfort song I've been listening to on repeat. I noticed how few people were still on the bus and that's when I realised.

Despite being up so early I'm still late to class. "Damnit," I cursed under my breath and raced through the rain, almost tripping in the empty hallways. I heard the bell ring, and that's when I knew I was definitely late.

When I opened the door all heads turned to me. I smiled weakly and quickly apologised before trying to find a seat.

I quickly noticed Hana's bright red hair, and saw that she was sitting with Soyoung and Mina. All seats were taken except for the one in the front.

Since this was the first day of school, these were the permanent seats. I'd rather sit in the back, but there was no other choice right now.

I quickly walked over to the table, and felt everyone's eyes follow me. I felt the teacher's eyes burn in my back. I clenched my backpack strap in my hand and pressed my lips in a thin line.

Finally the attention moved back to the homeroom teacher who continued his lesson. I unpacked my bag and noticed my missing pencil case.

I slightly threw my head back, internally cursing myself. I looked to Jina sitting next to me, but then I remembered how much of a bitch she was since freshmen year.

I sighed and looked behind me, noticing a new face. I turned back around and bit my lip.

"Can I borrow a pencil from you?" The boy rudely turned to the window without giving me an answer.

"Ms. Jang, you're already late. So I'd very much appreciate you not disturbing the lesson," My eyes grew wide.

"But Mr. Han, I was just—"

"May I continue my lesson?" He asked sternly, caring less about what I had to say. I felt my heart drop and tears form into my eyes. I saw Hana looking at me from across the classroom whispering something to Soyoung.

I swallowed the upcoming tears and turned to the window.

"Everything will be alright, just pretend,"

Him
As soon as I entered the busy hallways of the new school the cozy feeling annoyed me. How everyone was lovingly chatting with each other, I hated it. I made no contact with anyone and stood silently for my locker waiting for the bell to ring. The class was full as I walked in and people were also happily talking with each other. I put my hood on kept my head low as I stared at my feet walking all the way to the back hearing the whispers about me.

But I could care less, I didn't need friends anyway. As I focused my gaze on the rain droplets falling on the window a girl took the seat in front of me. I looked around in the class and saw that there were no seats left me besides the one next to mine.

Of course, what did you think? Someone who wants to close to you on their own impulses?

I shrugged, it didn't faze me. I don't need friends. I don't need love.

Suddenly the girl turned around, scaring me, but I put on a poker face.

Must not let anyone know my true feelings. I am better of without anyone.

"Can I borrow a pencil from you?" Sunken in thoughts her words shot right past me. I turned to the window ignoring whatever she said.

She probably said something mean or stupid. I didn't react until the teacher called her out.

"Ms. Jang, you're already late. So I'd very much appreciate you not disturbing the lesson," Suddenly I felt bad.

"But Mr. Han, I was just—"

"May I continue my lesson?" He cut her off without letting her finish.

What a jerk.

I saw her sulking in her chair and wanted to give her a pencil, but my hands stopped themselves. Suddenly I heard her mumble something familiar.

"Everything will be alright, just pretend,"
