How could I check my deeds?   A theory of Karma

What is the right way of doing any Karma? Guru Dronacharya and Great Grand Father Bhishma are bound to serve the king and the Nation. They were not happy with the unjust and dishonest ruling of Duryodhan under the shelter of his blind father Dhrutarastra. But they were duty bound. They were in a pitiable condition.

Why great grandfather Bhishma and great Guru Dronacharya became emotional victims and the Kauravas just tossed them around? Why these types of a few of talented people of dark thoughts of their abilities and niceness of nature let themselves become victims? They increase their feelings of security of being wanted, of belonging, of emotional safety in their minds. They know that the victimizer is paying attention to them and because the victimizer pays attention to them they cannot abandon him. They become victim-prone in different ways for different reasons. They do not do this willfully or out of free choice of their minds they unwittingly make themselves emotional victims as they need for their own emotional sustenance .A series of outer forces and inward forces within act here as motivators and they directed them to vulnerability or a psychological prediction toward emotional victimization. Here Bhishma’s defence lies in his own theory of Dharma- religion as an obedient son who sacrificed his own life for the sake of father’s wish of marrying a fisher man’s girl and his honesty in keeping his promise till his last breathe to protect the ruler of Hastinapur.Bhishma’s motivator is religion. While Guru Dronacharya’s defence lies in the guilt of not providing all worldly riches to his own son which were enjoyed by his pupils ,the princes of Hastinapur and he surrendered  his dignity and honor of being Guru in the service of unjust rulers of Hastinapur Dhrutarastra and Duryodhan. Dronacharya’s motivator is a psychological human weakness for his son.

Both love Pandavas as they were righteous persons, obedient students and polite grandsons; while Duryodhan was greedy and cunning. Duryodhan tried to raise anger and jealousy of Dronacharya that we too have great warriors like you and Bhishma. Dronacharya and Bhishma both were able to kill Pandavas, if they wanted to do so. Because Bhishma had a boon that nobody make him die until he wishes to die and Dronacharya was the Guru who taught Pandavas and Kauravas the Art of war.

But Duryodhan was upset because he knew that they both were not going to fight to win. Because they love Pandavas and they wanted Victory for Pandavas as true rulers for the people of Hastinapur and also for the sake of justice. So the Truth and Justice both were with Pandavas.

When you want to do anything and you want support of people who are with you in your ‘Karm-Yuddha’  competitive task in the offices or on the war field, you can have full support of people  only when they are with you whole heartedly. If they work under any fear or stress, obligation or pressure, you will not get the best out of them and this is the basic ruie of Management also.

The theory of success of any management now a days leading to great achievement is to know the strength of your people, encourage them, appreciate their talents and have Human-touch. I have to say a single word to describe (Dharma) for anybody. I think ‘Honesty’ is the only word. If you are honest with yourself, your people, your dealings and your any Karma whatever you do with your physical body, there would be no difference in your saying and doing.

If you are a dual personality, you are not honest to yourself, (Everybody is a dual personality. There may be a variation of percentage only.) There is a reason for fear-factor. Hence Duryodhan and his army felt fear when the bugles of war fill the air of the war field. When you know that you are doing wrong thing or you are with the wrong people, you have to do the work according to their wish Because you are under the obligation of a wrong person your life becomes miserable and you helplessly follow and support wrong people and it makes no difference that you are a good person at heart or not because you have to carry the cross of other people’s sin as Bhishma or Jesus. So the lesson is you should never get alms from or help of any undesirable selfish bad men. When your conscience bites, fear envelops your mind and you became restless, you cannot live happily.

But if you are a truthful person you will be ready to face and fight just as Arjun told Shri Krishna to bring his chariot in the middle of the war field. Fearlessness comes only when you are honest inwardly and truthful to yourself.

The power of facing and fighting comes to a person only when he is truthful and because of Arjun’s truthfulness Lord Krishna remains with him and when God is with you nobody can do anything wrong to you. Today even if we want to go to court against any injustice done to us, the law says that we must be clear –handed. It meant that justice can be demanded by the truthful persons only.

What should we do to be truthful and honest forever? Can we follow the path of truth so easily? If Dronacharya and Bhishma had to support Duryodhan even though they don’t want to do any injustice to Pandavas how can we face evil factors boldly in our life? Do we really want to accept the road of truthfulness? Can we be indifferent to our selfish worldly motives? It’s a puzzle. Isn’t it?

Let’s check our mind… And let’s find out the solution too.
