(10) Wait a minute Mr Postmannn pt1

It was finally spring break!

After a long segment of school with no end, all the kids were getting restless. Max's family were scheduled to go on their annual Florida trip, Will and Jonathan to go see the clash perform, and Mike's family to New York City.

This news brought a frown to the telekinetic brunette's lips, it meant she wouldn't be able to see Mike for 5 whole days.

Not that she wouldn't miss Max and Will too.

She knew she would find something else to do though, why waste spring break moping over Mike's absence when you have two other best friends just a call away?

Lucas and Dustin were bummed that three of their friends were gone for break, but also, they kind of took it as an opportunity to get a bit closer to El.

They were the only two that didn't really hang out with her unless the whole group was around, Max being her 'girl best friend', Will basically being her brother, and Mike being her boyfriend.

And the crazy part was, they were two of the people that had known her the longest!

They were sure that this break would give them some inside jokes or something that Mike, Will, and Max wouldn't understand, obviously because they weren't there.

"I'll see you as soon as I get back, and I'll call you every night okay?" Mike soft voice settled into Eleven's ears.

"Promise?" She responded, as Mike gently pushed a lock of her wavy Chestnut hair behind her ear.

"I promise." He replied firmly, leaning down to place a chaste kiss on her pink lips, she gladly smiled into the kiss, bringing her hands up to his shoulders where she rested them.

The two pulled away slowly, and Mike flashed her a bright smile,

"I'll bring you back something too, and maybe you can come with us next time!" Mike suggested happily, El knew he loved going to New York City.

"I'd love to go sometime" El said with a smile, they took a few more minutes to part ways, then Mike's family, piled into their car, Mike waving to El and his friends from the back seat as they pulled out of the driveway.

Max and Will said their goodbyes and departed, leaving Lucas, Dustin, and El.

Lucas and Dustin didn't really even know her that well, the things she did when she was alone with Max, Mike, and Will were different from how she acted in a group setting.

With Max she didn't have a filter on anything she said, swear words, demeaning words, she simply had no reason to hold back, Max found it amusing.

When she was with Will she was more reserved and eager to learn, Will was a great teacher, he showed her how to draw, improved her music taste, and gave her mini language lessons. When these two were together their more "chill" sides appeared.

And when El was with Mike, she was daring and bold, yet in a good way, only El could pull that off. She was up for anything if he was there with her, but everyone knew that. What they didn't take account of was her vulnerable and even insecure side.

"Hey El, you wanna come to the mall with us, we were thinking of going to get some ice cream and hang out with Steve after he finished working." Dustin said promptly after the Wheeler family's car was out of sight.

El turned to face him, quirking a small smile and nodding docilely.

"Sounds fun." She said, her voice wasn't too convincing. Dustin glances over at Lucas, who shrugged it off.

"Alright then, let's go, El, wanna ride with me?" Lucas asked, Mike was holding out on teaching her to ride a bike, everyone knew he just liked El being close to him all the time. Little did they know Max had already taught her how to skateboard, and even do a few tricks.

"Okay" She said, Lucas smiled and patted the seat. El chuckled quietly and climbed on the bike behind him. "Hold on, we're gonna go fast!" Lucas said, El quickly reached around to hold onto Lucas's torso, the boy smirked, he knew Mike would probably be jealous as hell if he saw them right now.

"Come on you two!" Dustin shouted and began to pedal furiously on their route to the mall. Lucas followed in suit with El giggling at all the stupid jokes he told her.

Lucas's bike came to a stop and El jumped off, patiently waiting for the boys to put their bikes on the rack.

"I wanna do something exciting" El stated, Dustin and Lucas gazed across at her, they were quite surprised. Eventually two smirks appear on their lips.

"What are you thinking mage?" Dustin asked as they trio began walking inside, a sly grin placed upon Eleven's pink lips.
