Kelly Severide x Child!Reader x Katie Nolan

You went to one of the local schools, near Firehouse 51. Your teacher aide's Katie older brother Kelly Severide was a lieutenant at the firehouse. At the moment the fire broke out you were going over the book you were going to read for English class. You panicked from the sound of the fire drill and Katie ran after you after getting the rest of your class to safety. The teacher and the kids watched the fire engine pull into the drive. They all cheered when they noticed Kelly, they had had some trips to the firehouse in the past. Boden and Kelly ran over to the teacher aide. "Is everyone one out?"

The teacher, Clara shook her head. "No, Miss Nolan and Y/N didn't come out. Y/N panicked when she saw the smoke, her parents died in a fire and Miss Nolan went after her. I didn't see where she went. Everyone else is out." Boden informed the team that they were looking for you and Katie. The team began to do a sweep, they opened the door of the room you were in and Herrmann yelled. "Fire Department, call out!" There was no yell, but Kelly thought he heard a snuffling. He moved into the room and Herrmann followed with Casey, who informed them that the rest of the school was clear. Kelly found you curled in on yourself crying softly. Casey spotted Katie, knocked unconscious because of falling beams. He picked her up and gave her his oxygen for a few moments. Kelly moved towards you. "Hey, sweetie, I'm Kelly. I'm Miss Nolan's brother." You flung yourself at Kelly. "I'm going to get you out of here, okay sweetie?" You nodded against his heavy coat which he tucked around you to keep you safe. The trio made their way back outside, Kelly leading the way, then Casey carrying Katie and lastly Herrmann. Once they made it outside, Gabby and Shay ran over along with another set of EMTS. Gabby and Shay took Katie from Casey and the other EMT's took you. Kelly went with you to Med while Gabby decided to stay with Katie at Med.

A few days later after Katie had been discharged and gone back to work. She took your class to the firehouse, with baked goods and cards as a thank you. The smiles on her brother's fellow firefighters made the trip worth it. Otis flung his arm around Katie, "Glad your safe, Nolan."

"That's only because you would be alone in dealing with my brother, right? Nothing to do with my own safety." He laughed and kissed her temple. "He would be a pain if you were dead, that's for sure. But you are family, so I am thankful that you didn't die." She grinned at him and turned to watch her brother with you who hadn't left his side. You continued to mutter, "Severide safe." That meant she felt around both Katie and her brother. "I'm adopting her, Y/N." She told Otis. "She needs a family, Kelly's going to be her uncle. They wouldn't let Kelly adopt her by himself as he has a dangerous job, so I said I would." Otis laughed, "That's great, Katie."
