You stared shocked at two pink lines that announced the news that you were carrying your husband, Arastoo's child. The glinting of your rings drew your attention that gold band that he had given you had your wedding and the gem of your engagement ring; the diamond had a soft hue to it. You smiled remembering the hopeful way he had looked at you when he had asked you to marry him. The smile he had had when you had said 'I do' and after the kiss that had bonded you for life. You knew that he would happy that you were pregnant. Now all you had to do was find a way to tell him.
You headed into work, Arastoo had left an hour earlier, as you had lied about a doctor's appointment, so you could take the at home test privately. Entering the Jeffersonian, you walked up to the platform. "Is that a dead body?" You questioned jokingly pointing at the burnt skeleton. Brennan opened her mouth for a factual answer, but Wendell bet her too it. "Well spotted there Donavan, Anderson help you out with that?" You laughed at the joke, that showed your shared love for the BBC show. You ascended the platform and greeted your husband, "Three forensic anthropologists, huh. Must be a big case."
"We do not know that yet." You nodded and collected the evidence bags for you to analyse. You headed into your office and began to work. Around lunch, you left to grab something to eat and spend time with Arastoo. You both sat on a bench near the edge of the rose garden. After Arastoo set out the food for the pair of you, you took a deep breath as he helped himself to some food. "I have something to tell you." Arastoo looked over at you, cheeks slightly stuffed with food. You grinned at him. He swallowed. "Yeah..."
"There you guys are..." Hodgins came running over the rest of the team following at a slower pace. "Booth wanted to go over the case, before he had to talk to some suit in the bureau." You sighed lightly, Arastoo looked over at you hoping you would still tell him, but you remained silent.
A few hours later, you were in walking back to your office when a hand wrapped around yours and pulled you into a secluded corner. "Arastoo!" You exclaimed. "What did you want to tell me earlier?" He asked as he nosed your hair. "I wanted to tell you..."
"Hey man, sorry but doctor Brennan wants to talk to us about the bones." Arastoo nodded at Wendell's explanation for his interruption. "Sorry." They both told you. You shrugged and handed Arastoo a file. "Analysis on the evidence found on the body, Hodgins said he'd explain it, he just had to check something." Arastoo nodded and left with Wendell. "Oh, come on." You headed back to your office where Angela was waiting for you. "Hey." You nodded back at her. "Oh, somebody's cranky." You rolled your eyes, "Somebody needs to shut up." You muttered. "Definitely cranky." You nodded, "Long day." You half lied, rubbing at your eyes. She nodded. "I hear that."
At the end of the long day and several more failed attempts, you dropped onto your couch exhausted and Arastoo handed you a glass of water kissing your temple. "You alright, darling?" You shrugged. "Take a deep breath." You whirled around to face him. "Take a deep breath!? I've been trying to tell you I'm pregnant all day and people keep interrupting me." There was a pause, "You're pregnant?" He asked breathless. You looked up at him. "Yes." you said hesitantly. He laughed and his face lit up, pulling you into a hug. Kissing you all over your face. "I love you, Y/N." You kissed him back, "I love you as well, Arastoo."
