Of course Lance summoned the fish. The water was his and he was the water. Of course he summoned the fish. Lance's reason was simple; it was for Keith.

There were gleaming Koi, and goldfish. Playful Iridescent sharks. Mischievous clownfish and mandarinfish. There were more but they're too shy. The fish listed were some of Lance's favorites who loved to interact with people.  Keith loved the aquatic animals too. Giggling when the fish who circled him would swim against his warm skin. Being in the water lowered the fire elemental's primary temperature, making him nice, warm and friendly to the fish.
Lance summoned the fish, but the fish chose to stay.
They chose to play with Keith.

"They like you." Lance said, an unshakeable smile on his face.
"They do?"
"Mhm. They're playing with you." Lance told him.
A fish swam against Keith's pale leg, another swam against his arm. Keith shriek his lively laugh this time with a bundle of loud snorts as a koi fish swim against his neck, tickling him. He found the lucid, unadorned yet intricate creatures absolutely, completely and totally delightful.

The two had long ago allowed themselves to sink to the floor of the medium large pond. They sat with the the livid colored plants. Lance lie entirely relaxed while his elemental antipode frolic with water critters. Lance couldn't help but watch him. Enticing black hair that with added water only succeeded in making more angelic filled the space around his head, branching off in many different directions. He noticed a couple of small clownfish swimming in the divine hair, two clownfish were babies and of the fish were bigger. He observe the friendly fish spiral and compass around the other. A fond expression finding its way to Lance's face just as Keith's laugh found its way to Lance's ears. Just as Lance's eyes found their way to Keith's waist and downwards.

"You can touch them y'know." Lance told. "You won't hurt them while underwater—you're not hot enough to."
Keith looked at him while he talked then back to the fish once he was finished.
Hesitation. Anxiety.
Keith didn't want to touch the fish, but he really really wanted to.
Once again he reached out to feel the little animal, deja vu washed over him. Pressure built up in his chest and knots tied in his stomach. Even if Lance said he could what if it turned out like the butterfly?
What if he killed it?

Terrified the boy moved his hand away from the small animal.
Lance sat up, continuing to view the other. Lance stood up and glided over to him.
One hand firmly grasped the fire elemental's waist.
"It's okay. They'll be fine."
Keith's bottom lip quivered and his hands trembled as they gripped the hem of his long shirt. "I can't."
"You can."
And with that Lance used his free hand to guide Keith's hand over to a dazzling Koi fish. Keith's hand was trembling. The water elemental squeezed his hand assuringly. Lance's big hand covered the other's.

His fingers grazed the fish and he pulled them back quickly, getting fenced by Lance.
"Please," Lance started, looking at 'red' "trust me. Do you trust me?"
Keith looked at him for a moment before nodding. "I trust you."
Lance smiled, leading the boy's hand to the fish with ease. Keith squeezed his eyes shut biting his bottom lip to keep it from involuntary trembling.

The smooth, scratchy feeling was the first thing the boy noticed. "It's fine; everything is all right." The Cubmexicano male informed.
Keith opened his eyes to see the beautiful creature.

A big smile stuck to Keith's face. A fond expression covered Lance's.
He was glad he summoned the fish.

Euphoria.
