Feeling a tightening in her chest Tammy felt like she couldn't breath. She had to get away from everyone before they saw her have another attack. Standing quickly she turned and walked away from the group hearing constance ask the others if it was something she said. Turning the corner she didn't notice a blond and brunette following her to her special spot across the school. Leaving through the doors she stopped at an empty classroom and ran through to the closet at the other end. Falling to her knees she tried to get her breathing and crying under control but the only thoughts she could focus on was 'father is going to kill me when he finds out' over and over again. Feeling hands in her hair and on her back she breathed harder while the tears came faster and faster. "I can't... I can't... please s-stop." She sobbed as arms encircled her.
"Shhh it's okay sweetie, it's okay were here, we got you." Debbie whispered while looking worryingly at Lou who had anger in her eyes for however made Tammy react this way. Shaking her head at the older blond Debbie picked Tammy up and placed her in her lap rocking her back and forth with her facing Lou. "Hey kiddo, I need you to take a deep breath for me okay baby?" Lou sat in front of Tammy with her hands on her face making the younger girl look at her. "Come on sweetie just take a few deep breaths for me please. Everything will be okay, well make sure of it." Looking into Tammy's eyes Lou knew that whatever the girl was feeling would require everyones help and hopefully some special help from her and Debbie.
Feeling the girl in her lap calm down a bit Debbie moved her arms so they were wrapped around the girls middle instead of her shoulders. Moving her nose into the girls hair she breathed a sigh of relief when the girl just whimpered and quit sobbing. "We've got you sweetheart. Nothing bad is going to happen okay baby? We've got you." Debbie calmly reassured her while Lou nodded and smiled softly at Tammy. "We've got you babe." Lou said softly as she reached out and wiped her tears from her face. Seeing the girl start to close her eyes Lou told her to sleep for a bit causing Debbie to move so she was leaning against the wall with the girls back against her between her legs.
Minutes turned to hours as the final bell rung to let them know they sat there for two hours and missed the rest of lunch and their free period. Letting out a frustrated sigh Lou grabbed her phone out of her back pocket and texted the softball team to let them know practice was cancelled for the day. "You know, I never knew what she went through at home. I didn't even think that she had anything wrong with her life but fuck was I wrong. I've known her for three years. Three fucking years, how the fuck did I not know about her feeling like this. She barely lets me hug her and I just thought it was cause she didn't like being touched, but she always comes to me for a hug and we don't talk about why she just hugs me. I've tried but she never wanted to talk and all of a sudden she meets everyone else from the table and she's telling us about her dad and her having to act perfect all the time." Growling out in frustration Lou glares at the wall for a moment before looking at the sleeping girl. "She probably has to do what everyone says to do and act how everyone wants her to act. She probably never gets to take a break and just get to be herself. I mean did you see her reaction when she found out were all gay? She flipped the hell out and I guarantee you that it wasn't cause she's homophobic but because she's afraid someone is going to tell her dad who she sat with."
Feeling tears well up in her eyes Lou looked at Debbie and let the first tear fall. "I just wish I could take the pain she feels away Deb." Debbie sighed and looked down at the girl nodding her head. "Here's what were going to do. We are going to have a movie weekend with her coming. Her parents are out of the country for the next week and I doubt they'll care if she's staying at home or not and if they do then I'll meet them and I'll persuade them to let us stay over so she doesn't get lonely and so we can work on our project. We'll call it a big group project and we'll teach her that she can be whomever she wants to be around us as long as it's who she truly is. She can be a bitch as long as she's honest to us about who she is. I mean we already have Daphne." Laughing at that Lou wiped her tear. "But regardless of who she truly is we are never leaving her side. No matter what happens. I just hope we were right and she's actually gay otherwise I think our flirting will get us no where." Smiling Debbie looked at her watch and groaned. "We have to wake her and get up. They'll be closing the school in less than twenty minutes."
Stretching, Lou moved closer to Tammy and softly shook her shoulders. "Wake up sweetie, schools over time to go home." When that didn't work Debbie started to push the young blond off her and while Lou again softly spoke.
Feeling someone touching and talking to her Tammy opened her eyes only to come face to face with Lou's bright smile. "There's our sleeping beauty. How'd you sleep princess?" She asked earning her a soft groan from the younger blond. "Don't wanna move, lay back down pretty please." Tammy asked with her puppy dog eyes targeted on Debbie, who had moved from behind her to sit beside her, and Lou who was facing her. Softening her face at the girl Debbie shook her head. "Not today tam-tam, but how about this weekend we all go to my place and watch movies and cuddle. Sound good?"
Nodding her head Tammy stood up with the help of the other two girls. "I've never seen any movies before, but it sounds fun." Hearing that statement the brunette shot a look at the older blond and they both silently agreed to have the girl experience everything her parents wouldn't let her experience. "It's a lot of fun. Just don't let nine-ball or Amita pick out the movie. They like the scary ones while Rose and Daphne like the romantic ones. Constance goes for the action themed ones and those normally turn out really good." Explaining each of the girls movie preferences Tammy noticed they didn't say anything about themselves. "What about you two? What do you like?" She asked as they walked out of the classroom towards the exit.
"I like the kind that have a little bit of everything, Debbie likes comedy or rom-con movies." Lou explained. Walking down the stairs Tammy nodded her understanding. "What kind do you think I'll like?" She asked once they walked out the door. Looking at each other Debbie answered. "We think you might like either rom-cons or the ones with a little but of everything but without the horror." Biting her lip Tammy nodded again, "OK"
"So Tam-Tam, what do you say? You want to come over to my place this weekend to watch movies with us?" Debbie asked with a hint of hopefulness in her voice that caused even Lou to smirk a bit. Smiling Tammy turned to Debbie and hugged her. " Yea I would. Thank you." The last two words were expressed for more than inviting her over but for also holding her and caring about her. "Anytime Tam-tam, anytime." Releasing the brunette Tammy turned to Lou who had her arms spread out waiting for her hug. Tammy rushed into them and hugged the varsity captain tightly. "Thank you." She whispered, kissing the older blond's cheek.
Blushing she released her and started walking backwards. "Lou has my number, she can give it to you and I'll ask my parents if I can come. But fair warning they might want to meet whoever is picking me up." Smiling again at them as they nodded and said goodbyes Tammy headed towards her house while they headed in the opposite direction towards the blond's bike.
