Lauren POV

I pulled up to the jail 40 minutes later.

I got outta the car and left everything in it. He got out and did the same. We walked to the door and he opened it. I walked in and talked to the guard.

He already knew who I was coming to see.

We waited on him to come from the back.

It was quiet between us but I broke the silence.

"So where's your mom?" I asked him.

He looked at me.

"She died giving birth to me." He said.

"I'm sorry. You-" I started but I saw daddy.

The guard took his handcuffs off him and he sat down. He starred at Ace.

Ace looked at him.

I looked at them both.

"I can't believe I'm looking at you." He said to him.

"Kimberly Harris is your mother?" He asked him.

Ace nodded.

Daddy smiled.

"Explain to me what is going on!" I snapped.

"Lauren this is your brother. Before your mother and I got married. I had two relationships with Kim and Tracy. Kim found out she was pregnant and she didn't want to apart of my lifestyle. She moved with my child without a trace. I looked for her. I even found her parents and they wouldn't tell me. She hurt me deep when she left with my child." He said looking at Ace.

"She moved to Atlanta. I was born in Atlanta." He said.

"How's Kim now? She still in Atlanta?" He asked.

He looked at him.

"She died during child birth." He said.

Daddy froze up.

"She what?" He asked.

"She died giving birth to me. I lived in the system because my maternal grandmother didn't want me. Paternity was never established." He said.

Daddy wiped the one tear off his face fast.

"I'm so sorry. I looked for her and you for years. I had no doubt that the baby was mine. She didn't want to stay here." He said.

"What's your name?" Daddy asked Ace.

"Korey Savage." He said.

I wiped my tear quickly.

"I'm Lewis Savage. Your dad." Daddy said standing up.

Ace stood up and hugged him tight.

"How old are you? When's your birthday? It's so much I want to know about you but it's not enough time." Daddy said laughing.

Ace nodded.

"I'm 24. My birthday April 19th." Ace said.

He was four years older than me. I can't believe I have a brother.

Ace looked at me and smiled.

"I been looking for you all my life. Wondering what you looked like. Meeting you .. it's bringing a lot of emotions back. I ain't no pussy nigga so I'm not gonna cry but I'm glad I'm finally getting to meet you." Ace said.

"Lauren you do have an older brother. I'm sorry I didn't say anything to you before but I thought I was never gonna find them." Daddy said looking at me.

I looked at Ace. He looked so much like daddy. I smiled. I've always wanted a brother not older brother. I have always wanted one.

He smiled back.

"I got a lil sister." He said laughing.

The guard looked at daddy.

"I'm so glad you came down here boy. Lauren you got to tell me how y'all met later but I have to go right now." He said standing up.

We stood up and hugged him.

"Keep a eye on your sister." He said smiling.

Ace nodded. Daddy got handcuffed and walked back to the back with the guard. We walked out of the jail and to my car. I pulled out and made my way back home.

"If you don't mind telling me. How he get locked up." Ace asked breaking the silence.

"Diablo. He set him up." I said.

He looked at me.

"That's why y'all don't need to do the deal. He's a snake. He double crossed the shit out of daddy and I'm just trying help y'all." I said driving.

He nodded and pulled his phone out.

"So your name is Korey?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Yeah. You can call me Korey if you want. I'm Ace to people that's not family but we family." He said laughing.

I laughed a little and nodded.

I seriously have a brother! He already said I'm his family. Let's pray he ain't the overprotective type of brother because whew chile.
