Chapter 13- My Best Friend

I fell to the ground crying. Standing in front of me was my best friend Alyssa. Alyssa and I have known each other for 7 years. We meet each other in 2nd grade and have been friends ever since then. We haven't seen each other in 2 years since she moved to California. I ran up to her and hugged her. "I missed you so much." we said at the same time. We both laughed and broke from the hug. I looked at my friends, "Who did this?" I asked. Kanna stepped forward "Ash and Zen were on it. Zen knew you were in pain so he asked Ash if he could fly out someone who you are close to." Kanna said. "Yea, then Zen contacted me and flew me out here. But what happened?" she asked. I looked down. "I don't really want to talk about it so can someone else explain it to her please?" I said walking back over to the couch. I sat down and Zen came and sat down next to me. He checked my bruises then hugged me and held me close. During this Ash explained to Alyssa what happened. "Bitch, where is this hoe can I fuck her up?" she yelled grabbing a bat she had packed. I laughed. She came over and hugged me. "I am so sorry she did this to you but I will beat her up if you want me too." she said softly. I shook my head no. "No, we have more important things to do! We need to catch up!" I said.

 I dragged her to my room where we sat on my bed and spilled the tea. "Girl, why are you wearing rainbow?" I asked, painting my nails white. "BITCH! I am bi now!" she screamed. I rolled over laughing. "Dude quiet or Ash is going to come in! Why didn't you text me? Who are you into? Spill the tea." I said excitedly. "Ok, I found out like a year ago and ever since then I have had feelings for the girl named Madison. Dude you would love her, she is just like me." Alyssa said. My eyes went wide, "I don't know if I could take two versions of you." I said laughing. "Ok enough about me! How are you? What the deal with you and that snack out there? I saw him holding you like you were his property." she said bouncing on the bed. "First of all, stop jumping or I am going to ruin my nails. Well, I made the Varsity softball team!" I said focusing on my nails. "WHAAAAAAAAT!" she screamed, "CONGRATSSSSS SIS!" she said bouncing one more time and sitting down. "But seriously, answer my question." she said in a serious tone. "Well, it is complicated. We aren't official and he asked me to homecoming, so I guess we are a thing. I have no clue tho, all I know is that I really like him." I said looking down. "GIRL! Good for youuuu!" she said. I looked up at her "Alyssa, did you by any chance go into our fridge and grab a couple to many beers?" I asked. "Whatttt..no wayyyyy...yea I did.." she said laughing. I smiled and then laughed "Wow so kind didn't even bring me one." I said laughing. We both collapsed on the bed laughing.

Finally James came in and looked at us. "You guys good?" Y'all are really loud." he said in a concerned tone. "Yea we are fine James thanks for asking." I said. "Ok well, we are having a game night tonight. Wanna join?" I nodded and Alyssa asked "What kind of games?" she said winking. I rolled over holding my stomach laughing while James walked away slowly, his eyes wide. I got up and changed into a pair of red velvet shorts and a white tank top. When walking out the door Alyssa said "God damn Paige looking like a snack." she slapped my ass. I laughed and Zen walked by "Damn right." he said slapping my ass. "AYE!" I said jumping onto his back. He caught me and ran around the house. I laughed and then he set me down on the couch. He sat down and I laid down in his lap, putting my legs on Alyssa's legs. He played with my hair, trying to braid it. We ordered pizza and played monopoly. Alyssa won and she started to dance around. It was getting late so Kate, Kanna, and AJ went home. 

I was about to get into bed when Alyssa started having a "temper tantrum." "What?" I said sitting on the edge of my bed. "I want my own bed. I am your guest." I sighed, "Dude we have been best friends forever it isn't a big deal." I said halfway into the bed. "NOOOOOOOO!" Alyssa pushing me out. "OW!" I said grabbing my arm. "Paige I am sorry I totally forgot."she said sadly. "Its ok," I said laughing. "She can sleep with me." Zen said in the doorway. I gave Alyssa the death stare. She nodded "Yes she will be sleeping with you for I need to sleep on my own bed." she said smirking. I mouthed I hate you and walked out with Zen. I walked into Zen's room. It was a deep blue with football stuff all over the room. It smelled like his cologne. He jumped onto his bed and I walked over and slid under the covers. He turned out the light. We slept on opposite sides for about 30 minutes but I started shiver. Apparently he was awake and could feel me shiver so he rolled over, putting his arm over my upper waist. He pulled me close and said "Your shaking." I nodded and pushed him onto his back. He looked up and I got up, sitting on top of him. I turned the lamp on and looked down at him. He smiled and pushed a piece of stray hair behind my ear. I cupped his hands with my face and kissed his soft lips. He wrapped his hands around my waist and held me close. I don't remember how long we made out for but it was magical. I couldn't get the feel of his soft lips out of my mind.

In the morning I woke up to me laying on Zen's chest and his arm wrapped around me. I looked at him and smiled "Your so amazing, I wish-" I whispered but was interrupted. "Wish he were what?" Ash said walking in. "None of your business," I said getting up quietly and walking out. "Morning Alyssa," I said walking in and grabbing some coffee. "Morning sleepy," she said. I took a sip of my coffee and looked at her with a cold stare. "You didn't want me to sleep with you so I would sleep with Zen because you know I like him," I said looking at her with a cold stare. SHe threw her hands up "Guilty!" she said. We both laughed.
