I saw your picture on the internet

Silence flooded the table as Jeongin folded himself into Chan, his previous statement having come out a little louder than he intended. He sounded desperate even to his own ears. As a vague sense of dread began to fill his lungs, the younger boy slid off Chan's lap.

"I have an appointment, I'll see all of you later." With that, he began to wander through the halls of the corridor; barely knowing where he was heading. The hoodie cloaked him and he tugged slightly on the threads of the cuffs, it provided a strange sense of comfort in a place he knew all too little about.

The walls were white, but tiny flowers had been scribbled in some spots; presumably by a wayward child. Jeongin let a smile play on his lips, recalling the small flowers that Chan used to draw all over their hands. The little lines that Jeongin drew up his fingers would always be interspersed with lilies and cacti. The familiarity caused Jeongin to stop and gently trace the next flower he came across with the tip of his finger.

"I was just about to come looking for you," A voice said from down the hallway, the relief in her tone was evident.

"Sorry, Dr Hyo, I got a little lost. Chan kinda just brought me here last time."

The lady smoothed a crease in her blouse, before offering the boy a hand to get up from where he was crouched. He accepted the assistance and followed her into the office. Having been more focused on Chan, Jeongin hadn't noticed the band posters on the wall; now that he saw them, he had a new appreciation for the woman.

"So, last time we spoke things got a little hectic, I was hoping to just make sure that you know what's going on with your bond." The boy nodded, his fringe falling slightly into his face with the force at which he did so.

"Obviously, everyone has a different experience with their soul bond. Some people choose friendship, some choose relationships and others simply allow a sense of acquaintance to gradually build. You and Chan became lovers very quickly, which caused the bond to almost stretch. It wanted to accommodate the fact that the two of you had bonded so quickly. Do you understand so far?"

Jeongin nodded, wrapping the loose thread of the hoodie around his finger and sitting back in the hard plastic of the chair.

"As the two of you broke up fairly abruptly, the bond tried to tear apart slowly so that you two would have time to fix it before it tore completely. However, Chan became closer to Minho during the time that you spent apart from one another. Minho's bond had already been torn, so it attempted to connect to Chan's. A bid to fix itself if you will."

"So, are Chan and Minho now soulmates?" The doctor could sense the despair in Jeongin's tone. However, she also knew where he had gotten the hoodie he was wearing. Teenagers were so complicated.

"Not exactly. Minho has a one way, corrupt bond with Chan. Anything that appears on Chan's skin will appear on Minho in a negative or corrupted form. But if Minho writes on his skin, it won't show up on Chan. Does that make sense?"

The boy nodded again, tucking himself further into the hoodie that had slipped down to expose the top of his neck. He didn't feel particularly cold, though.

"Back to your bond. When the two of you began speaking again, your bond reacted accordingly and immediately tried to reconnect you both. In doing so, it effectively went into spasm and caused a bond seizure. That's why you passed out. As you only have one bond, you took the full force; because Chan now has what is basically one and a half bonds, he took less of the impact. You guys have to reconnect otherwise your bond could tear for good."

There was a pause before Dr Hyo followed the speech up, "I don't really think that's a problem judging by your attire."

Jeongin had the grace to blush.

There was a knock at the door, which was followed by a very common reoccurrence: Chan poked his head around.

"Minho said you would be here. I've been looking for you, baby, you scared me."

The blush darkened.

A/N - This is short, but it explains a lot so I hope that makes up for it.
