I hope all of enjoyed the last story.
A possibility for Episode IX is that Hux could turn out to be a main villain. But since he doesn't have the Force and isn't strong enough to fight Rey or Ben, he will probably use trickery.
Using the Resistance to get rid of Kylo Ren sounds like just the thing he would do.
He already knows that Kylo Ren has compassion for Rey, but once he discovers that it was Ben who killed Snoke, to save Rey. He'll try to avenge the Supreme Leader, and he'll know that Rey is his weakness and use that weakness against him.
