This story was inspired by a scene from the teaser trailer. This may not be what happens in the movie, but it was one possibility that I thought of. Tie fighters don't have landing gear, so I thought that there was a possibility that Rey may have been lost in the desert without food or water, so Ben comes to get her. But because he cannot land the ship, Rey has to jump on to the ship.
I also decided to include another thing that I want to happen in Episode IX. I really want Ben to say: "I'll come back sweetheart I promise." To Rey in Episode IX. And I thought it would be nice if he said it to her when she was on Jakku, where she was first abandoned and probably felt the pain of her parents leaving her. And I thought that it be nice if someone (Ben) came back to her in the very same place she was left behind.
Also, my friend Winter Wolf wants me to continue this story, so there may be a part 2 soon.
