"Ugh, I hate furniture shopping. It's so...meh." Chris said as we walked through a furniture store. I didn't care much for furniture shopping either, but it had to be done, since neither Chris or me brought anything to put into the house.

"Hey there folks, could I help ya' with anything?" A salesman said to us.

"We're fine, still looking around." Chris said. The salesman nodded and walked away. I was bored, and wanted to leave already. But since Chris was just as uninterested as me, I figured I should start really look. I found a comfy, tan colored couch that was shaped like an "L". I finally encouraged Chris to go look at beds, and he found a really cozy king-size one. We then bought a dining room table and chairs and a coffee table to put in the living.

We spent the next week painting the house, buying more things for the house, and getting everything together. It was long, and tiring but well worth it. Now that we were finally moved in, I made Chris and I tea, and sat on the couch.

"So Delilah, I talked to an old, long time friend the other day, and they're going to be in town tomorrow, and I want you to meet them." Chris said before taking a sip of his tea. I hadn't met many of Chris's friends, just his family and band members, so I'd be willing to meet a turtle if it was important to him.

"That's great, it'd be nice to meet one of your friends'. What's their name?" I asked.

"Her name is Jane." He said. I'd actually been expecting him to say a guy's name, but it doesn't bother that Chris has friends that are girls. I smiled and nodded my head. He said she's a long-time friend, so she's probably going to try and make sure I'm "good enough" for Chris, hopefully she wouldn't turn out to be some crazy girl.

"Cool. We'll take her to dinner or something. I'm glad you want to meet her too, it means a lot to me, baby." He said then started kissing me.

"Let's go upstairs." I said between kisses. He gave me a flirty look, then carried me bridal style upstairs.

-Next Day-

"Jane is going to be here in like ten minutes!" Chris called to me from the bedroom. I was in the restroom doing my hair and make-up. I wanted to look really nice today for Jane, I wanted to make a good impression. I put on a white Misfits tank top with a short black waist skirt and black gothic boots. I heard the door bell ring downstairs, and looked to Chris.

"Yay, I'll go get it." Chris said happily. I rushed to put on some red lipstick then went downstairs.

"Chrisy!" Jane yelled.

"Jane!" Chris said holding the '"e" .They both stated laughing and hugging. I stood to the side, and let them have their moment. Then Chris pulled away and motioned me forward.

"Jane, this is Delilah." Chris said.

"Hey, it's great to meet you!" Jane said.

"Yeah, same here!" I said smiling. Jane is really pretty, she had long brown hair, and mesmerizing gray eyes, and extremely skinny. She's absolutely stunning.

"Well, let's go eat." Chris said and we all got his car and left. At the restaurant we sat in a booth, Chris and I on one side, and Jane on the other. She turned out to be a really interesting person. She's a fashion student, she's moving back to Joplin, and plays guitar, piano, and the harp. We finished dinner and went back home. Jane was going to spend the week with us, good thing we had the extra bedroom.

"I'm not tired, are you all tired?" Jane asked.

"Nope, wanna watch a movie?" Chris suggested. Both Jane and I nodded, and Chris put in the movie "Coraline" since it's Jane's favorite movie. I snuggled next to Chris, and Jane did the same on the other side of Chris. It felt a little awkward, but probably because I'm just not used to it. But since Jane and Chris are good friends, I didn't mind. All three of us fell asleep like that.

The next three days went on the same, dinners and movies with Jane, occasional shopping. But I still didn't know her really well yet. I felt weird when her and Chris would have their "inside jokes" and I'm just like the third wheel. And Jane always wanted to sleep in the same bed as Chris and I, and I thought it was really strange. Chris didn't seem to mind, and I didn't want to complain about it.

"Chris, I'm sick of vegan foods. Can we at least eat vegetarian foods?" Jane asked, while we were all in the kitchen looking for something to eat.

"Ha, sure. What do you want to eat?" Chris asked.

"Vegetarian lasagna?" Jane asked.

"Sure! I could go to the store really quick and get the stuff." Chris said then left in a hurry.

"Well I'ma go out for a smoke, care to join me?" Jane asked me. I nodded and followed her outside. She hand me a cigarette and lit it for me, then lit her own. We both inhaled and exhaled, leaning against the side oh the house. I'm not a smoker but if it helps me get to know Jane better, I'll smoke just a little.

"So how'd you meet Chris?" I asked.

"We lived next door to each other when we were like...10. We went to school together and all that crap." She said nonchalantly while smoking.

"Oh cool. Did he have a lot of girlfriends in high school?" I asked giggling slightly at my question.

"Well, he had a couple. I didn't really like any of the girls he dated, then we dated for a bit." She said. Wait, Chris never mentioned that Jane's his ex-girlfriend!

"...I didn't know you and Chris were together..." I said uncomfortable.

"Yeah, you didn't seem like you knew. If my boyfriend brought his ex over, I'd be pissed," She said laughing. ", but we were together for only like three or four months? It was weird because we were best friends. Ha, Chris liked, well, loves me way too much though. He even wrote me a song. I'm pretty sure other songs he wrote are about me, but he's too afraid to admit it." She said burning out her cigarette. I felt like an idiot. He's been showing "Janie" off, all over town, and I'm looking like a fool thinking that they'd been "just friends".

Without saying anything to Jane, I rushed back inside, and locked myself in my bedroom. I wasn't sure if I should be mad at Jane, though. Because she actually told me what happened with them, But she knew that I was completely clueless to everything, and continued to kinda 'flirt' with Chris. And Chris never told me anything at all. Heck, he even wrote her a song.

"Hey, I'm back!" Chris called. I took a deep breathe to calm myself down, and went downstairs to help with dinner.

A/N: Sorry for the short and possibly crappy chapter, but it's a filter chapter! But I had more homework than I was expecting and usually I just slack on homework, but I can't fall behind this year. ._. Any who, the album "Indigo" by NSN is coming out in November. <3 And picture of Jane on the side.
