Just like magic: Chapter twenty-six

-One Year Later-

"Oh my gosh! It feels great to be back home in L.A.!" I said in relief, sitting down on the couch. I had just come home from picking Chris up from the airport, he finished touring.

After Chris and I finished Warped Tour, we moved back together. But unfortunately, we didn't have much time to spend together when tours began to arise for the both of us. I went on my first tour, and had the time of my life. Chris was able to visit me on the road multiple times, and I got to meet quite a lot of wonderful fans. Chris went on his Indigo world tour, and even though he was gone far longer than me, I still saw him plenty. And when we couldn't visit, there was always Skype. During the past year, Chris and I both celebrated our birthdays. I turned twenty-one now, and Chris turned twenty-two.

"I'm glad to be back too, especially because you're back with me." Chris said wrapping his arms around me, kissing my face everywhere. I started to smile.

"I'm glad to be back with you more than you know." I said.

"And you're not going anywhere this time, right?" Chris asked.

"I wouldn't even dare to. You're my love, and the only one I want. And really, I still wish I could take back a lot of things, because I hate that I hurt you so much. I need you, Chris. I'm still sorry for making you feel the way you did. But I actually am happy that Stacy was there to keep you grounded." I said in an apologetic tone.

"Delilah, you've been anything and everything I could have ever asked for. Everything is perfect, so let's just stop dwelling on the past. We're together now, and stronger than before. So stop living in regret, because everything's worked out." Chris said taking me hand, assuring me not to worry about things. I've sure as hell have been the best I can be, because I still have all this guilt from when Chris and I broke up.

"God, I don't know what I'd do without you." I said.

"Same here, darling. You don't have to think about life without me, because I'm not going anywhere." Chris said hugging me tighter. I love it when Chris held me like this. It makes me feel like we've built our own little world together.

-Next Morning-

I woke up, stretching my arms out, and then realized that Chris and I had fallen asleep on the couch together. I started yawning and then untangled myself from Chris and went upstairs to change. I started to do my hair, but stopped when I got a text message.

Dad: Hey sweetheart, your Mom's birthday is tomorrow and it'd be great if you were to come and join us. Love you.

I haven't seen my parents ever since my last visit when Vic showed up, which was over a year ago now.Usually I'd protest about seeing my parents because my mother can be absolutely unbearable. But I'm an adult now and should just accept my parents being a part of my life. And even though most people would still consider me 'young', it's time to really start maturing and just get over my past arguments with my Mom. Besides, I actually could really use some motherly insight. I texted back confirming that I'd go, then start packing a bag. Yawning, Chris came up to the bedroom.

"Morning, Love." Chris said kissing me on the cheek.

"Morning. So tomorrow is my Mom's birthday, so do you want to come with me to go visit her? It's okay if you don't want to come, since you just got home yesterday." I said.

"Yeah, of course. Do you think that after we're done visiting your parents, we could visit mine? I've been missing them quite a lot. I had hoped to visit them while on tour, but never had the time." Chris asked.

"Yeah, that'll be great. I'll start buying the tickets now." I said getting on my laptop. Chris started to pack his own bag, while he did, I finished buying our plane tickets. Chris and I finished our packing, and then later went out to a vegan restaurant. I swear, I should just become vegan. Usually, that's what I've been eating as of lately because of Chris.
