"Mama have you seen my jersey..." Cordell ask me as I finish Imani's hair.

"Yes in the laundry room I washed it for your big day..." I say as I finish up Imani's hair.

Today is Cordell's first game which is a home game and he has been practicing for weeks.

Bernard is suppose to be coming out today as he has missed all his scheduled weekends because of some business and the kids hopes have been draining.

Today is yet another Friday and let's hope he can keep this visit together.

"Mama can you make my hair pretty for daddy..." Imani says and I kiss her cheek.

"Baby you're hair is beautiful regardless daddy will love it any and every way make sure you make your hair pretty for you okay... remember that..." I say as I giver her two high pigtails and leave the rest of her beautiful curls out.

"Okay Mama thanks..." She kisses my cheek as Cordell comes rushing downstairs ready to go.

"Mama I hope daddy make it to my game he said he promise....are you going to make it the game Mama?" Cordell ask me and I smile in my rearview mirror.

I was driving them to school as we are making better timing each time.

"I won't miss it for the world okay you guys have a great day at school I love you..." I say pulling up to the school as they run out.

"Good morning Lena you have a meeting with Hasbro's in a hour and Mattel is still waiting for the mock ups for the new Barbie campaign..." My assistant Amy says and I nod.

Being the head of Marketing for such a large consumer company can be overwhelming but I love stepping up to the challenge.

As I go over my mock ups I am confident in my decisions and get ready to head to my meetings.

"Toni girl where are you?" I call out in her boutique as I got off if work early and was going for a meal before we go to Cordell's game.

"In the back doing inventory you know that damn Kim slacking I'm about to fire her..." Toni says and I chuckle.

"I been told you to cut her loose sister got too much attitude..." I reply looking at Toni's fashions.

My best friend has always been fashionable even to the point where she designed our prom dresses.

Her boutique is one of the top selling boutiques in Minneapolis and everyone loves her creativity.

"Girl I'm going to need to update my closet with some of these collections..." I say as she laughs.

"Girl take what you want you know you're my girl and I can't have you out here slacking you drop the dead weight now it's time to get a date sister..." Toni says making me chuckle.

"What is up with you and my mama?" I say selecting a few pieces.

"Lena you're a beautiful hot mama girl flash some of that sexy and show Bernard trifling ass he ain't the only one who can pull something hot although his hoe toy is not..." Toni says making me laughed.

"Alright you guys won't let up I'll agree 1 date you can set up and I'll go but that's it...If he don't make the cut will you and my mother let up?" I say as she claps her hands.

"Great tomorrow night is all set let's go girl I'm done time to see my godbabies and see my godson be the next Lebron James...." Toni says as we exit her shop.
