18. Welcome Back...Not Really...

Arms wrapped around me and kisses on my ear, Prince admired me.

The ring from earlier on my finger as I stare at it's beauty.

"I love you Lena..." His voice flutters my heart.

"I love you too Prince...man we got to tell the kids I hope they will be okay..." I say as he kissed my shoulder.

"They will be fine I asked them and your mom for your hand in marriage before we left and Cordell was the one to tell me to hide the ring in a bouquet of roses although I didn't get to do that..." He chuckles and I smile.

My kids are over the moon with Prince and that's because he genuinely cares to spend time with them and I feel so lucky.

"Well then it's only one thing I have to tell them then..." I say rubbing my belly.

"I can't believe my baby is having my baby..." He kisses my belly so lovingly.

I forgot just for a split second he lost his chance of being a dad a long time ago and here is his second chance, I don't want him to miss it.

"We are going to have to decide on a house to live in baby and everything not now but soon okay..." I say stroking his hair and he just nods still kissing my belly.

Getting back home my mother and kids welcome us back with a banner and food.

Imani ran up and hug me before she whizzed past me towards Prince.

Cordell smiles at me as he eyes the ring on my finger.

"You did it! You asked her and she said yes.....Yes!!!!" Cordell smiles as he hugs Prince and they do this secret handshake they made as he now had my kids surround him.

"Very good, well you look like you can handle those two Prince come here Lena let's talk in the kitchen..." My mother smirks pulling me away as my kids could care less where I go they are talking to Prince and him giving them the things we brought back.

I love to see them look this happy it made my heart melt and finally feel like I am doing somethings right and not a complete failure.

"Oh my gosh Lena I am so happy for you!!! We got so much to plan and a spring or a summer wedding would be perfect..." My mother gush as I chuckled grabbing myself a cup of coffee.

"Actually a winter wedding won't be bad mother, I am pregnant and..." Before I can even finished the screech she made shocked everyone as Prince and the kids rushed in.

"What's wrong with grandma?" Imani asked and I smirked.

"Come here you two sit down there's something else I need to tell you..." I say as they sit down.

"Are we moving into Prince house? Please Mama this house is okay but it's small and there's no backyard..." Cordell says and I chuckle.

"Well tell me how you really feel, that's not what I was going to say but is that what you guys want to do?" I asked them as they nod.

"Yes mama please!!!" Imani squeals as she holds Prince's hand.

"I think that's a unanimous vote Lena..." Prince says and I smirk.

"Okay well I was going to say that grandma is happy and squealing because you guys are going to be big brother and sister as Mama is pregnant..." I say not sure how they will react.

"Ooooh Mama is it a girl can it be a girl?!!!" Imani jump up and down from her seat.

"No it's going to be a boy so I can show him how to play basketball and how to talk to girls..." Cordell says and I chuckle.

"Well we don't know yet if it's a boy or girl but whichever one it is we will all love the baby regardless right?" I say and they nod.

"Of course Mama so does this mean we can start calling you dad Mr. Nelson?" Cordell asked as Imani nod and my mouth gape wide a little bit.

"Uh...that's up to you guys and your mother I don't care what you call me I love you guys the same..." He says rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

"Well can we mama?" Imani eyes look straight to me.

"Uh if you guys want too..." I respond as they cheered pulling Prince into the livingroom as I laugh and silently pray he could handle those two.

"Lena baby I am so over the moon right now we got so much to plan uh like flowers and..." My mother could get carried away if I let her.

"Mama we want a small ceremony with our closest friends and family at the church nothing so big..." I say as  she scoff.

"Nonsense Lena this is a wedding you know how I am with events..." She says getting on the phone and I exasperates.

Hearing a knock on my door I go to answer it to see two men in suits.

"Hello is Prince Nelson here?" One man asked and he stands by the door with me.

"Yes?"

"Hello Mr. Nelson the school board will like to see you tomorrow for a meeting discussing your work ethic..." They say giving him a paper that had me worried.

"Baby is everything going to be alright this isn't my fault is it?" I say as he read the letter after the men left.

"No I was reported to the school board for having a indecent affair, and showing inability to do my job as a educator..." He said reading off the list.

"What who the hell would say that you're a great teacher and what indecent affair?" I say ready to flip that school board upside down.

"Stacey Adams reported but why would she? Just because her daughter didn't get the role of Snow White in the musical?" He says trying to think of ideas.

"Well who did?"

"I did mama the class voted for me though..." Imani says and I sigh as my brows knit.

"I put it to a class vote the class wanted Imani as Snow White and Beverly got the role of the Evil Queen which all the roles are important..." He says rubbing the back of his neck.

"Don't worry babe I know you did what was right and she got nothing on you other than being mad her daughter didn't get what she wanted I'll go with you to the meeting tomorrow with some of the faculty we will fight this..." I say kissing his cheek as he smile.

The kids hugged him and I know we are going to fight this....
