23. Do...Even Through Death...

"What are you doing here?" I turn to look at my recent regret.

"Lena look I love you I really do never stop I just didn't know how to deal with the stress I was feeling at the time..." Bernard says and I roll my eyes.

"Bernard why? Why must you cause me pain at every turn and not allow for me to be happy? If you ever loved me you would not just try and ruined my wedding like this...We were separated for 6 months and you decided you wanted the divorce not me...You decided you wanted to move on with the woman you cheated on me with not me...and on more than one occasion you made it apparent our time has come to a end so just leave or sit in the back and shut the hell up!!!" I yell tears threatening to break the surface from the anger that he made rise.

"Baby shh it's okay don't cry nothing can be ruined when I'm with you..." Prince whispers in my ear as a small smile appears and I turn to see my beautiful groom.

Bernard glare at Prince with so much anger until my son stood in front of us.

"Daddy go!!!" Cordell sternly says as Imani holds my hand.

"Dell move this is between your mother and I..." He says as he try to come closer to us.

"No daddy this involves all of us!!! Mama is finally happy she doesn't cry no more at night, She doesn't stay up all night and watch us worried, She's not tired no more or sad...Prince makes mama really happy she deserves to be happy like you were..." Cordell says shocking me and his father.

"Cordell look this..."

"No daddy Dell is right stop making mama sad..." Imani says and Bernard thoroughly shock shakes his head.

"Are we proceeding?" Pastor Walker ask and I turn to Prince who nods.

Bernard was escorted out of the church while my children stood by Prince and I, Imani holding one of my hands and Cordell holding Prince's.

"I Prince, take you Lena to be my wife, my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live..." Prince says slipping on the engraved wedding band he got me and I smile wide.

"By the power vested in me by the State of Minnesota, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride..." Pastor Walker says as He kisses me and rub my belly our family so full of love and feeling complete.

"Yay now you're my daddy..." Imani says jumping into Prince's arms and Cordell hugging him and I smile.

"I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Prince Nelson and together this is the Nelson Family god be with you on your new chapter..." Pastor Walker says as the church appaulds and Bernard walks out of the church clearly upset but he is no longer my concern.
