JACOB DIDN'T END UP COMING back last night, which I understood. Trying to be in the same room as your mortal enemy would be hard on anyone. Of course, that didn't stop the worry that I had for him, and the rest of the pack-- by now I was sure that they heard that Alice Cullen was back in town, no matter the reason.
Apparently, Alice had a vision about Bella jumping off the cliff-- cue a glare from me to Bella-- and she thought she had killed herself. Since she couldn't see Jacob--probably because he was a werewolf--she didn't see him dragging Bella out of the ocean. She thought that she would help Charlie with the funeral from the guilt she felt about Bella's 'death'.
"I'm just glad you're here," Bella gave her a small smile. It was obvious in the way that Bella was acting that she was a little brighter after seeing Alice. I, for one, still kept my distance. I wasn't too keen on getting much closer to another vampire after my first experience. They were both lucky that I was sitting in the same room as her.
It wasn't that Alice was a bad person, quite the opposite. She was rather nice, and she seemed to really care for Bella. She hasn't shown me any reason not to trust her-- besides the whole 'leaving Bella behind' situation. It was just going to take me sometime before I can fully trust her-- like how I acted with the La Push pack.
"I'm still new to this all," I had explained to Alice when she questioned how long I knew. "I wasn't exactly introduced into this world kindly." Which lead us to explaining to her what had happened with Laurent in the woods.
"Laurent?" She repeated, furrowing her perfectly plucked brows. "I didn't see him in any visions." She quickly covered herself up, "I wasn't trying to keep tabs on you, Bella. Edward didn't want me to. But I was so used to getting visions from you, they just came naturally."
"Alice, I'm not mad." Bella shook her head, before smiling, "in fact, I'm kinda glad you had the vision. It brought you here. I've missed you."
I got up from the couch, making the two girls look up at me. "I'm gonna go make some coffee," I mentioned before lower my voice, "or something."
