I slid out of bed and wrapped my blanket completely around me, even using it as a little hood. I silently tiptoed out of my room and to the hallway outside my suite, wincing each time I heard any type of thunder. Tiptoeing to his hotel door, I knocked on it loud enough so Zayn would wake up if he was sleeping. My body swayed front and back until I heard the door lock click and it swing open, Zayn letting out a few grumbles.

He stood in the doorway in nothing but plaid pajama pants that hung low on his waist. His hair was down and I think his eyes were still adjusting, considering he was squinting and rubbing them continuously with the pads of his fingers. Zayn's mouth slid open to say something, but he was cut off by a loud roll of thunder. I whimpered - literally whimpered - and threw my arms around his torso, resting my head on his chest.

"I'm scared." I mumbled only loud enough for him to hear. He breathed out a chuckle and secured his arms around me and my fluffy blanket.

"Baby, it's just a storm." I could hear the smile in his tone, but it still didn't help. I squeezed my eyes together.

"I don't like them." I whispered pitifully. He took a deep breath, pulled from our hug, stepped out into the hallway, and found a seat against the wall. I stared down at him as he patted the floor spot next to him, trying to comprehend why he would rather sit out in the hallway then his hotel room.    Without any thought, I sat down next to him, lounging one leg over his and leaning my head under his arm that was already thrown around me. Something about our bodies just fit perfectly together like matching puzzle pieces, making me feel safe and secure. Another thing I didn't feel as much with Dalton...

"There's no windows out here, so we can't see the lightning..just incase you were wondering why we're in the hallway. And since it's 12 am, I doubt your dad is awake." he spoke softly into my ear, tickling it a bit. I lifted my head up so he could see the little grin on my face, then rested it back under his arm. Our feet began lightly tapping eachother in a rhythm until I found a subject to talk about.

"My foot doesn't hurt badly anymore!" I announced cheerfully. He squeezed my shoulder once and let out a small laugh.

"That's good!" he congratulated. "So I went to go check on Josh today...you know, just to see how he was doing and everything."

"And?" I lifted an eyebrow, even though he couldn't see my face.

"He was in his bed crying. He's so heartbroken." he huffed. I sighed, honestly feeling bad for Josh. I couldn't even imagine what he's going through. "But I tried, at least, to comfort him."

I smiled at the thought of Zayn comforting - or attempting to - Josh.

I'm sorry, but AWE. He's such a softy.

"Well on a better note, Jaymee called me and apologized for -"

"Wait wait, who's Jaymee?" Zayn curiously asked. I paused for a minute trying to think back when I told Zayn about her.

"I never told you about Jaymee?"

"No.."

So guess I never did tell him.
