What would you do if you find a child at your door? Donghyuck would definitely take full responsibility. Well, how about finding out that the child is actually your boss' son?

"So, that happened?" Renjun had to ask, making sure what he heard was legit.
Donghyuck has always been crazy, he could possibly be making things up.
Not this one though.
Nodding his head, Donghyuck confirmed that every single word he said was true.
He expected only Jisung and Chenle to pay a visit, also their adorable little dude that's playing with the kid in the corner— Donghyuck didn't think that the whole gang would tag along. Everyone cleared their schedules and appointments just to come see how beyond belief his situation is.
"Is this even legal?" As much as Na Jaemin loved kids, he didn't want to be an accomplice in whatever his friend is up to.
"Don't you need to see Child Protective Services first?" Lee Jeno shared his own knowledge about this case, considering that this is supposed to be his forte.
Huang Renjun was equally as skeptical as his lovers who just got to find out about what was happening. "Shouldn't you be handing him over to the police to see if he's a missing child?"
All of that already came out of Chenle's mouth, making him complain. "See! I told you, Donghyuck. Even Jeno is advising you to do that!"
"Okay, calm down, Le." Jisung held his partner's hand before he would initiate violence.
"But he is not missing!" Donghyuck groaned, not knowing why he's somehow a bad guy in his friends' eyes. "Well, I don't think he is. From what I understand, his mother left him here."
"So you think he's abused and she didn't want him?" Renjun had to ask one more time.
"Exactly!" Donghyuck clasped his hands together, pointing out that very fact that he assumed.
"How sure are you about that?" Jaemin wanted his friend to understand that this is a real case he's in.
"Not sure... But— Oh, come on!" Ruffling his hair aggressively, Donghyuck groaned in frustration. "Don't make me talk about it to the kid. He would always seem traumatized whenever I mention his mother."
Jeno is usually the one who tolerates his friend's delusions, but this doesn't seem like the right time to do so. "He's a kid, Hyuck. His mother probably just didn't buy him a toy and he's throwing tantrums about it."
Jisung didn't want to butt in, knowing that joining in big conversations like this wasn't his cup of tea, but he felt bad seeing his friend being ganged up. He saw how upset and helpless Donghyuck was in trying to explain and letting them understand.
"Hey, I don't think a simple toy could make a kid cry and not want to go back to his mother." Jisung joined in.
Chenle raised a brow at his partner's sudden opinion. He then whispered beside him. "And I don't think you should say something."
