"Am I missing a whole chapter here?" Johnny spoke.
Being the only ones left, as they were also the ones who insisted on staying behind, waiting for the secretary and CEO to arrive, the couple, Ten and Johnny, waited patiently outside the building with the little boy. They were keeping an eye on him, watching him carefully so as not to get in trouble if the boy scratches himself.
"What do you mean?" Ten gave his boyfriend a look, not catching the context of that question.
Johnny raised a finger and pointed it at the kid, his brows furrowed in a clueless manner. "Have you noticed how Mark has been acting lately?"
It took Ten a second to realize— only to shrug his shoulders afterwards. "He has always been like that. What are you talking about?"
"Huh?" Was there something his lover knew that he didn't? Johnny had his brows furrowed. "What are you talking about?"
"Chicken hands has always given Donghyuck the same special treatment." Ten told him, simplifying his point.
However, that still left Johnny's questions unanswered. "That doesn't explain him suddenly spoiling the kid as if it's his."
"It's Donghyuck's." Ten said. "I'm not surprised to see him take care of Chan like he's also his son. Whatever Donghyuck's business is, it's also his."
Johnny somehow understood where his point was leading to, but still couldn't grasp it completely. "I haven't heard him ask where the kid's other parent is. What if Donghyuck is in a relationship? Wouldn't that be disrespectful if Mark just—"
"Oh, come on." Letting out a laugh, Ten was entertained by how engrossed his boyfriend is with someone else's relationship. "Even the dumbest person on earth can see how obsessed Donghyuck is with Mark. If someone would be that obsessed with me, I'd also be confident as fuck that there's no one else."
With a pout, Johnny could only nod his head in agreement. He then squinted his eyes at his lover, finding it odd to see how supportive he is. "Aren't you Donghyuck's number one hater? You've always despised how delusional he is."
Ten nudged him, clicking his tongue. He might get in trouble if someone overheard them. "You're exaggerating! I'm not his hater. I just find it annoying that he idealizes Mark so much as if he's the only man on earth for him."
"Still the same thing." Johnny told him. "Where's the same energy?"
"Gone upon realizing." Ten answered. The corner of his lips slowly curved to a smile. "Maybe Mark isn't so bad after all, for our friend."
Johnny stared at him with suspicion. "Weren't you the one who planned on burning Mark's body a while ago because Donghyuck is resigning because of him—"
