Chapter 54: Lukas, To State!

              I couldn't believe we made it to State! This was incredible! Everyone in our grade was celebrating this achievement. However, and according to tradition, our school was going to have a huge rally about this. Connor and Soren asked Nina and the rest of the Dreamers to take care of any heartless or dangers before the rally started.

"Is everyone ready?!" Connor shouted as he ran into the boys locker room with a box of donuts.

We cheered as he walked around and handed out donuts to us. This was going to be a great day, I could feel it! Once we left the locker room, I went to my locker and opened it to take out my English book.

"Don't forget to smile when you leave the school!" Magaoichi said with a smile as he appeared behind me.

I nearly jumped back in shock. Oh, he didn't have his partner with him today. I wonder why. Maybe something is going in Ransei, I mean Ninjago. Seriously, I can't believe Ransei was a part of Ninjago. Then again, I wonder what else is going on in that world. It seems like everything terrible is happening there.

"Thanks" I said as I took my math book from my locker.

I wonder who picks our guardians. I have nothing against Magaoichi, but I feel like we don't connect like others do. Magaocihi is a playboy and a junior warrior of a kingdom. I enjoy soccer and goofing off with my friends. I don't see how we can work well together.

"Also make sure you keep up your magic training. You're falling behind a bit" Magoichi added.

Wait, what? How was I falling behind? I unlocked my phone and opened it to check my grades. How on earth did I get 80%?! I dropped my bags and went to find Dr. Novak. He can't do this to me! He teaches the students about curses and simple spells. Magoichi followed me to the history rooms. I walked to the room and opened the door.

"Dr. Novak! I demand you change my grade! OH!" I shouted when I saw my teacher knocked out on the ground.

Please tell me no one murdered him! Man, those Dreamers do a really terrible job of watching our school. Actually, the year they left on their world tour was the year where there were less attacks!

"Dr. Novak!" I shouted in a panic.

"Oh, my!" Magoichi said as he ran towards us.

He checked Dr. Novak's pulse and reassured me he was going to fine. I couldn't understand who would hurt him though. Everyone in our school liked him! I wonder if any enemy from the Dreamers did this. It would be the only reasonable explanation. What if Landon's back?!

"I don't think Landon could've done this. This is something advanced..." Magoichi reassured me.

Well, I don't know if I would call that reassurance. This is kind of nerve wracking. Seeing a teacher down like this isn't a comforting feeling. I glanced at the clock. I still have enough time to help Dr. Novak before going on the bus to state.

"Well, let's look around here. Maybe we can figure out who did this by some clues here" I suggested as I looked around.

Dr. Novak was laying on the ground. There wasn't any marks on the ground, but there was some burnt marks on the desk. I wonder if he played fire or tried out a fire spell. I always have trouble controlling those types of spells unless you love to burn things.

"This was someone who knew how to use fire really well. I just can't think of any enemies" Magoichi said as he expected the damage.

Even he noticed that!

"Though, I didn't expect to see no burnt marks on his clothes or person. It looks like a simple knock out spell of some kind" he added as he expected the damage on my teacher.
