MDZS Fanfic - Arrange Marriage

Chapter 1

In the dining room of lotus pier where the family of Jiang having their dinner, the two former leader of the Yunmeng Jiang sect keep exchanging glances at each other. After more glances they nodded as if they're in an agreement. Madame Yu putted down her chopsticks, her fist on her lips and coughed two times to get the full attention of the two other people in the room.

Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian paused for a moment, glancing at each other before putting down their chopsticks and straighten their backs. Their eyes were focused on Madame Yu as they wait to what she will say.

"Wei Ying" she called out and paused for a moment, then took another glance at Jiang Fengmian to get confirmation again. Jiang Fengmian only gave a nod and still stared at each other for a while, on the other hand the two men is in puzzlement unable to fathom the meaning to those glances. Jiang Cheng glared at Wei Wuxian and kept silent but his eyes telling the other that he did some trouble again. Wei Wuxian only raise a brow, he crossed his arms and look away as if he's denying the accusation.

"Ahem, Wei Ying..." Madame Yu called out again.

Wei Wuxian who's still denying the accusation of Jiang Cheng suddenly switched his attention to her.

Madame Yu sighed and continued, "When we're at the Gusu Lan sect, we come to an agreement with them"

"It doesn't have anything to do with me, right?" Wei Wuxian thought to himself.

"You know what is it right?" Her brows furrowed, her eyes were cold as she said those words to Wei Wuxian.

Of course he doesn't have the slightest idea what the hell is this all about! Why does it have something to do with him? Did he do something to anyone from Gusu Lan? Well, yes he did but those were from years ago when he and Jiang Cheng are studying at Cloud Recesses. And all he did was sneak some Emperor's Smile inside and tease Lan Wang Ji all day long, they won't ask the Yunmeng Jiang Sect to punish him for it right? And it's been a long time already so it can't be the reason... So that's what he thought to himself but of course he won't say it aloud thus he only lowered his head and apologized thinking that he must have done something wrong.

"I'm sorry for causing trouble again for the clan... I'll personally go there and apologized." He said in a low voice.

Madame Yu only has a stern look on his face not uttering another word. When Jiang Cheng was about to say something, a slight laugh was heard coming the direction of Jiang Fengmian who is smiling, he's face and presence is gentle as ever, he looked at Wei Wuxian with care in his eyes.

"A-Xian, you didn't do anything wrong. The thing that we discussed with the Lan's is about a marriage" Jign Fengmian said in a clam voice, he's eyes are fixed on Wei Wuxian.

"huh" Wei Wuxian was confused about Jiang Fengmian statement just now, thinking who's marriage did they discussed about, he did not realized that he's been in his own world of thoughts for a while now. Only when Jiang Cheng called out to him he came back to his senses. He looked back to Jiang Fengmian and said.

"But Uncle Jiang Shijie is already married right?"

Jiang Fengmian only smiled while Madame Yu's face twitched as if he said something wrong.

He definitely didn't get it wrong right? Whose marriage are they discussing if it's not his Shejie's? She's the only one who he could think of but just like he said Jiang YanLi is married and already has a son, so probably Jiang Cheng? Well, he really need to get married soon since he's the current leader of the sect and he's already at his thirties but Wei Wuxian is no different, in fact he's older than him but that's not his fault he's been in a deep slumber for thirteen years so no one could really blame him for being single at his age. Probably Uncle Jiang and Madame Yu got bored because their son is being picky so they decided to arrange a marriage for him, but who's from the Gusu Lan sect? With this thought his mood immediately brightened up and grinned.

"Ehh...So sect leader is getting married? Who is the lucky girl?" he hurriedly asked, forgetting that Madame Yu is also with them.

"What!! Shut your mouth! I will choose my own bride! And why would I marry someone from Gusu Lan!" Jiang Cheng scowled.

"Then if you're not...." Wei Wuxian paused for a moment before speaking again.

"One of the two Jades is getting married? Who? Who is it Uncle Jiang?" he said cheerfully.

Jiang Fengmian Smiled and said, "Second Master Lan"

Wei Wuxian eyes widened, he paused for a minute and said. "Lan...Zhan..? Lan Zhan is getting married?" But before someone could answer his question he continued. "That's nice! But I wonder what kind of maiden that he taken interest to, I mean he never showed any interest at all so it's really hard to believe that he's actually going to marry someone" he grinned while giggling.

Jiang was shocked but at the same time he's also annoyed and concerned with Wei Wuxian way of talking just now. Who knows what his mother will say and do because of that, Madame Yu who's sitting in front of them seems to be angry, her eyes were sharp enough to pierce through their bones and her face shows no hint of joy or happiness. It's not because she's angry with Wei Wuxian's attitude just now, actually she's pretty used to it already because he's been like that since he was a kid. The reason why she's so annoyed is because she cannot bear this conversation anymore and somehow they're not getting to the point.

Madame Yu decided to end the conversation and continue it for another day. Jiang Fengmian agreed and said that they will visit Gusu Lan next week to discuss the marriage.

The next day, Wei Wuxian is still thinking about the marriage of Lan WangJi. Sitting alone on the dock and started to complain.

"I've never heard about this until now, how can that be? I know that it's been 13 years already since the last time I saw him but there are a lot of chances to meet. He should have visited me here in lotus pier to chat, we're so close and yet he never told me about it..." he pouted.

Suddenly a voice was heard from behind, "Who the hell do you think you are? Of course he won't tell you, he hates you and I bet he thinks that you will only pester him about it." Jiang Cheng who's walking towards Wei Wuxian sneered.

Wei Wuxian's cheeks become like a chipmunk's and said, "What! There's no way he hated me to the extent that he won't tell me about it"

"Just who are you to his life for him to be obliged to tell you about his marriage? Are you his mother? His father? You're not even his relative neither part of his sect, so why would he tell you?" Jiang Cheng said.

Wei Wuxian agreed with dejection on his face, "Yeah, right. It doesn't have anything to do with me anyway"

Jiang Cheng sat beside him, his voice is gentle as if his comforting him. "What's with that face of yours? Don't look so sad over something like that, since mom and dad knows and even discussed it with the Lan's maybe we're invited to the wedding too."

Suddenly his mood brightened and stood up, "You're right! Now I can see his bride, hahaha!"

He laughed and starts celebrating in his heart...

"Stupid..." Jiang Cheng said.

"You said that but you actually care for me!" Wei Wuxian grinned.

Jiang Cheng only gave him a glare and sneer.

"Why are you so happy about it? Are you his f@@king Mother!"

Wei Wuxian smiled at Jiang Cheng and said to himself. "I can't wait"

Seeing this Jiang Cheng could only frown and give a deep sigh thinking that this brother of his is up to no good again.

"Don't make trouble for me..." he said.
