Chapter 7

The sun rises above the hillcrest, the wind blow the leaves gently, and the birds chirp happily. A morning that appeared to be the same as before but for Wei Wuxian it's different. Starting today, all of the misunderstanding with Lan Wangji has been cleared. The heavy fog in his heart is finally disappeared, he can breaths with ease and flirt with him freely. But when he woke up, Lan Wangji is nowhere to be found. He looked around the Jingshi, the rabbit field, and he even tried to take a peek at the juniors supposedly studying around this time but they are not in there and they were nowhere to be found too.

He lay down on the grass and played with the rabbits, he thought that Lan Wangji will be here soon to pick him up just like before. But two hours has passed and no shadow of his beloved was seen.

"What!! Where did he go! Why hadn't he come back yet!!" Wei Wuxian stomped.

When he's about to leave he saw Lan JingYi and SiZhui, he rushed toward them and give them a fright.

"Hahaha! Why so shocked? Did I scare you?"

"S-Senior Wei!" Lan JingYi said.

Senior Wei... We, Ummm... Sir asked us to do something for him so we need to go!" Lan SiZhui said and before Wei Wuxian could ask them about Lan Wangji whereabouts they already escaped like a runaway train.

Wei Wuxian raised a brow and sighed, "Are they avoiding me?" 'Maybe they got told by Old Lan. He really hates me that much ha?' He thought to himself. He strolled along the whole place but still no Wangji, it is already dusk so maybe he's at the Jingshi already? With that thought he rushed back to the Jingshi without any delay. The room is dark and quiet and there's no sign of a person being here, he sat on the floor mat and rested his hands on the table. He sighed countless times, he complained, and drank the Emperor's smile hidden in the room, he never stop until he falls asleep.

When he woke up in the next morning but there's still no sign of Lan Wangji. 'Maybe he's out carrying out a special mission for his sect', that's what he thought and tried to convince himself with it. He searched once again at the whole place but the result still the same, he started to worry and wanted to go out and look for him at the nearest town but he can't leave the Cloud Recesses without him. He tried to ask the disciples, they talk with him but none of them answered his questions properly instead they diverted the topic as if they're avoiding it. This makes him panicked, he even tried to ask them to let him go out but of course none of them agreed and only said that Lan Qiren and Lan Wangji would be angry at them if they do.

"Where are you?" he mumbled.

Another day has passed, another night alone in the quiet room. He drank again and started to complain in a low but hearable voice.

"Why! It's been two days already! Where is he?" He drank a cup of emperor's smile in one gulp.

"Did he forget about me? He decided to leave me? Why he didn't come back! After he did it with me for the first time he decided to leave? Did he find it gross? For his information it's my first time too!! And I have never thought of doing it with another guy before!! How could he do this to me! How could he...." He shouted and lowered his voice at the end, worried that others will get annoyed and kick him out from the Cloud Recesses. He cried his heart out silently in the dark and quiet room, few more days has passed like this until it's been a week already since Lan Wangji's been gone. And he still doesn't have any idea where he went or will he come back. The faces of disciples as they avoid him, and their actions when they see him from afar. Wei Wuxian could only think of one thing at the moment, he got thrown away, Lan Wangji abandoned him for some reason. Maybe he felt gross when they did it, maybe he's not interested in him anymore or maybe he just pity him from the very beginning. And there's only one reason why he just left like that and didn't say anything to him. Because it's a arrange marriage between two sects, it will cause a huge ruckus and he will bring a humiliation to the GusuLan Sect!
